Last Monday I asked my people send you an email announcing our 2016 Coloring Contest…to kick off the introduction of the new 2016 Lillian Too Coloring Feng Shui Planner. One of the coolest things about the planner is hunting for the hidden icons and symbols of good fortune along with the lucky images throughout the pages. Not only does this new planning tool give you a fabulous way to organize your daily thoughts, appointments and tasks…it is the newest secret way to manifest all that you want. You see, as you are colouring your plans you are also embedding them in your subconscious mind…and nothing works as well when planning your year than engaging your inner consciousness.

Unlocking Good Fortune in 2016
Understanding the annual feng shui chart (flying star chart) for 2016 gives you a huge advantage and you are way ahead of the game in terms unlocking your good fortune for 2016 as well as protecting yourself and family from adversity.
The chart above shows the center number, which is 2 in 2016, and eight other numbers from 1 to 9 in the various sectors. Each sector corresponds to one of the four cardinal directions or four secondary directions in your home or office. Every year the strengths of the stars or numbers is different depending on which sector they fly into and from the interaction of the elements of the number with the element of that particular compass sector. Suffice to say, the meanings of the numbers vary in strength from year to year.
WHAT TO DO: The best way to use the information in the annual chart is to superimpose the chart onto the layout drawing of your home and onto the space of the important rooms. You must use real compass directions of your home and you may already know these.
If you do not know the sector directions of your home or office then take directions from the center of your home and match the corners of your home to the chart according to the compass directions. You can then see how your main door and each of the important rooms in your home like bedrooms, dining room, family (living room) correspond to a number in the feng shui chart of the year. Be sure to use a good compass and note that you must take care of every level of your home in the same manner. So if you live in a home with multiple levels, you’re going to have to work out the feng shui for each level.
Be Sure To Update Your Feng Shui Annually
Towards the end of any year you can always sense your home lacking vitality and needing change. Remember that old energy is tired energy so adding a new coat of paint or new furniture and of course new cures and enhancers is vital. You always feel much better and happier when you put these into place and this should be done prior to February 4, 2016. In fact, you can begin to make changes well before this date as the energy is already beginning to wane.
Can I reuse cures from last year?
People often ask me if they can reuse cures from the previous year. While I understand the desire to do this, it really is better to throw out the cures used from last season as they have already absorbed lots of negative energy. Throw them into the ocean or over your shoulder into a large flowing river if you can and do it before you add new remedies.
NOTE: If you have placed any sacred objects like stupas, mantras, plaques etc. in your home, these never lose power and they can continue to be placed anywhere in your home or on your altar. Please make sure they are in a high place and that you respect and honor their sacred energy. They should not be thrown away.

Pilgrimage to Bodhgaya 2016
In another week or so I am making my way to Delhi on my way to BODHGAYA, the most holy pilgrimage place for Buddhists, a place like no other, a place that brings out the sacred spirituality within all of us.
I like to go to Bodhgaya to sit under the magical Bodhi tree and make heartfelt prostrations, recite my mantras and get into a state of calm abiding that leads to a beautiful meditative state. It is an amazing experiential high that is hard to match so I try to make this pilgrimage at least once (sometimes twice) a year.
When I am there I make time also to trek up to Vultures Peak to feel again that energy that comes with the recitation of the HEART SUTRA … the trek up and walk down is also very special indeed. This time I am bringing about 40 friends and students with me … and once again we will have my dearest friend and Guru, Khenpo Delek Rinpoche whose guidance during such events is exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable and skillful and we are so lucky to have him with us on our pilgrimages. His sense of humour is endearing and he is also a very kind and compassionate Guru, always thoughtful and caring of his disciples. I love his style of teaching and leading pujas … There is so much resonance and power in his wonderful voice as he leads and teaches us in the practices, the reading of wonderful sutras, the recitation of specially selected prayers and the chanting of mantras.
If you are reading this and want to come with me sometime just write in and advise me of your interest. Who knows? At some appropriate moment your karma to go on this journey with me may well ripen. At least once in your lifetime it is so good to make the pilgrimage to Bodhgaya … the place where Buddha Shakyamuni attained the Perfection of Wisdom! Becoming spiritual aids so much in getting your feng shui right … somehow it opens doorways to amazing realizations and epiphanies that lead to the awakening of new knowledge … or of old knowledge stored deep within you!!!

Observe the Renovation Taboos Every Year!
There are taboo areas to respect and leave well alone. Renovations and other disturbances in these areas will cause misfortune to befall anyone living in the house. Watch out for the Three Killings, the Grand Duke Jupiter (Tai Sui) and of course the 5 Yellow, which in 2016 resides in the Northeast of the chart bringing severe bad luck to all members of the household. No matter how anxious you are to begin fixing up a new apartment or home…please consider the consequences and hold off until next year or a more appropriate time.
