Happy Holidays!

ltpic13Well Christmas is almost here! This is a much-celebrated Christian holiday that is observed by many throughout the world! To all my friends and students who celebrate this day, please accept my very best good wishes for a MERRY CHRISTMAS! And it won’t be long before the lunar New Year is here as well.

ltorchardroadsingapore
This is such a festive time with decorations everywhere. Even a month ago, when we were in Singapore for my Feng Shui Extravaganza, Orchard Road was already so beautifully decorated with millions, yes millions of beautiful lights! And in Hong Kong…wow – they do up all the buildings in such a gorgeous manner with so many twinkling lights and designs – it takes your breath away.

I’m sure you’ll agree that such lighting seems to create a feeling of instant happiness and uplifts the spirit! At night it is even more powerful as it creates the cosmic balance of opposing yin and yang forces – opposing yet complementary forces of light against the darkness of the night unlocking lots of good fortune energy.
lttsimshatsauhongkongI’d really urge that at this time of year (which can be really stressful as well as exciting) that you take time to catch your breath and relax. When people are under stress tempers often run high. Take time to put your feet up and pay attention to your breath (even if only for a few minutes) – remove all the thoughts and “to do” lists from your mind and just follow your breath. You’ll feel better and more relaxed in minutes, ready to enjoy the festivities.

Happy Holidays!

Lillian

Welcome the Lap Chun for Growth and Improvement in 2017

ltfebruary4thIf you attended my talk in Singapore or KL, you are aware that the White Star 1 – a Victory Star, dominates the upcoming Rooster Year, 2017. This is a welcome relief for all of us who have suffered through the darkness of the black monkey year.

Feb 4 on CalendarAnother good sign for everyone is that the Lunar New Year falls on January 28th – before the LAP Chun (or before February 4th), which means we can say that, the “New Year has the Lap Chun” and this is an auspicious indication. This is because the 4th of February (the day of the Lap Chun every year) corresponds to the start of SPRING, which brings the promise of new beginnings and a new season of growth!

Now alternatively, if the Lunar New Year falls after February 4th, then this is inauspicious because it suggests that the year has no beginning and no auspicious start.

It’s always a good idea to decorate your home with symbolic things like pussy willows, spring flowers like yellow chrysanthemums and peonies during the New Year. Yellow chrysanthemums are particularly nice, and being filled with an abundance of petals they bring increasing prosperity luck during the New Year. Place the flowers in auspicious vases throughout your home or better still, make flower offerings on your family altar to your Buddha or God that you worship.

Lillian

The Magical Energy of Wonderful and Auspicious Offerings!

I always love to make auspicious light offerings to the Buddhas and this is the perfect time of year for you to do the same! Of course you can do it throughout the year as well. Many religions use candles or electric lights on their altars as offerings to their Gods or deities.

ltcandlesMany religions use candles as offerings in mind. Think for a minute about twinkling lights turning on and off, on and off. Or the candles as they flicker and then grow bright again. Each time this happens it symbolizes more new light energy getting created and over time millions and millions of lights get lit up. Just consider the power that gets unleashed each time you turn on your twinkling lights. The multiplication of yang energy is incredibly powerful! And the brighter the lights offered, the greater it benefits the positive transformation of the minds of whoever is making the light offerings!

ltcandles2As we experience the season and celebration of Christmas and the New Year, remember how auspicious it is to decorate with plenty of new lights in your homes and to add these sparking wonders to your altars as well. And it’s nice to make such light offerings continuously throughout the year!

lttriplefiveelementpagodapillarBy now you all should know how dangerous this nasty star can be! In 2017 it flies into the SOUTH and is problematic for those of you who are of the sign of the HORSE as well as any daughters in your family. Because this earth star has landed in the fire sector it becomes even stronger, so you must try to keep this sector as quiet a possible – no loud noise, renovations etc. here. If you were planning on a renovation in the south part of your home, put it off until another time. Be sure to place the powerful Triple Five Element Pagoda Pillar here – this is a strong cure specifically designed to combat the Five Yellow affliction.

The Secret To Giving

ltpresentsWhat better season that then holidays to remind everyone to give with your heart and your head! Give happily and imbue your gift with strong and happy chi. What you may not realize is that giving creates a vacuum which attracts new wealth into your space and sets up a flow that will constantly improve your lifestyle in the coming years. Get the flow moving this season!

It works every time

LTPic12Here’s a straightforward question for you today. Do you lack self-confidence…or do you know anyone who does? I think we all know a few. Personally, I’ve seen many people who suffer from this…and I often ask myself, why? Of course there could be extenuating circumstances behind someone’s lack of confidence…but the good thing is there is away to change and for you to gain a more positive aspect on life and your life’s purpose.

You see, when you lack self-confidence you greatly disadvantage yourself in the workplace and in life. Self-confident people on the other hand are more self-assured and project a positive self-image. They are forceful and generally seem happier and ready to tackle the problems of the world. People are attracted to their self-confident personalities!

Today I’ve offered you a visualization technique that will help you to become more self-confident. It won’t happen overnight…but practice it daily for just a month and watch what happens! It’s easy…and only requires a little discipline on your part.

In case you haven’t been by my shop in Mid-Valley recently or on line with us at http://www.wofs.com, this will let you know that our 2017 Almanacs and Diaries are already available and the annual horoscope books for each animal sign can be preordered now. As always, the information inside is only available from WOFS…there are no other products on the market that are anything like these gems or that give you so much advice and knowledge! Be sure to order your copies today!

The Feng Shui Almanac
Year of the Fire Rooster 2017

lt2017fengshualmanac

I have to tell you – I am a huge fan of our annual Feng Shui Almanac 2017 and the latest edition for Year of the Fire Rooster has just been released! I use it daily and in fact, rely on it when making important decisions. Here are a few of the special features that you will find on each of the monthly pages of the almanac.

Earthly Branch and Conflict Animal – on each monthly page you’ll find a chart showing the animal sign that rules each day of the month. The days that show your animal sign are good for you and you can be confident on this day in your work and social life. Opposite the earthly branch is the conflict animal for the particular day, so this day is in conflict with those born on the animal sign indicated. If you find your animal sign as the “conflict animal” it’s best to take it easy and not make any important decisions; don’t sign contracts or commence any new business on these days.

ltactivitysignsInauspicious/Auspicious Activities – When you see black icons on certain days it indicates obstacles for the activities shown in black. So you should refrain from doing any of the activities shown on these days. Conversely, when you see the icons illustrated in fbright colours then these days are auspicious for the activities indicated. You can proceed with important activities on these days.
Not only does the Alamanc show the activities that are auspicious and the ones to avoid, we also provide recommendations for auspicious and inauspicious hours to complete activities. The red circles indicate the lucky hours and black circles indicate unlucky times. So if you have an important meeting or document to sign or presentation to make, be sure to schedule during an auspicious hour and avoid unlucky times

New Moon and Full Moon Days
It’s best to begin projects or start jobs on dates that fall between the new moon and the full moon – this is known as the waxing cycle of the moon. Conversely the moon wanes after the full moon until the next new moon so best not to begin new projects in the waning moon period.

And this is just on the monthly pages! The Almanac is also filled with other helpful feng shui information such as the annual flying start chart, the lucky and unlucky stars for 2017, your astrological horoscope sign affinities, renovation rules for 2017 and much much more!

This useful Almanac was a number one best seller on Amazon last year for many weeks. It has a nice spiral binding that allows it to easily stand on your desk for easy reference so you can quickly check each day and see what’s in store…and whether or not to take action. That’s what I do…and you should too!

Become More Self-Confident Using Visualization

ltsunriseChoose an early morning hour, a day when the sun rises on a clear horizon and you are feeling well rested after a good night’s sleep. Go to a quiet place which can be indoors or outdoors and you will be alone.’

First close your eyes gently with a light smile on your face and fill your mind with happy thoughts. Breathe in and breathe out steadily and imagine yourself looking rested and beautiful…possessed of an inner quiet glow. Feel clever and well-groomed…feel at peace with the world and then SLOWLY focus on the details of your SELF.

Work at creating a firm sense of confidence growing within you. Think of your latest triumph or a moment when you felt good about yourself. Nurture this feeling. Give yourself a pat on the back. Go through a small list of all the blessings in your life. Become aware of yourself becoming more positive. Think these thoughts until you feel your body start to warm up.

Now visualize a powerful bright light just above your head…it’s as blinding as the sun. This bright orb of light is sending rays and rays of bright yellow golden light raining down on you. The rays of light feel warm and gentle ad they fill your body with powerful rays of confidence.

Try keeping this visualization of rays of golden light enveloping you with new found confidence for as long as you can. If you can maintain the image for a full minute it would be wonderful. Think of all the things you want…and be convinced that the light rays coming to you from the cosmic orb are bringing you all that you wish for. Easily and effortlessly.

Do this practice daily for a month and watch your self-confidence skyrocket. Here’s a tip: write a script if you think it will help!

Lillian

ltbonsaiplant3

Love those perfect little Bonsai plants? These may by beautiful to look at but unfortunately they suggest stunted development. It’s always better to use a living plant that is healthy, green and flourishing. If the plant is dying or in poor health, replace it immediately.

It is said that be moon influences your moods – you are affected by the pull of gravity, which may cause you to feel down and depressed according to how the tides ebb and flow. Make an effort to take control of your moods and resist this pull when it happens to you.

A word to the wise….

LTPic12What is that old saying? “A word to the wise is sufficient”. Those of you who pay attention to my recommendations and monthly updates are indeed wise and are probably reaping the benefits of taking care of your monthly updates on a regular basis.

The thing that surprises me the most is that updating monthly takes such little time because we’ve made it so easy for you. You can read some of the recommendations here in the ezine at the beginning of each month…or even better you can get the full story from our monthly magazine. Either way, it pays to update your feng shui monthly as well as annually because time does not stand still and in this Black Year that we are now still experiencing you don’t want to leave anything to chance. Some of you will take action…and some of you wont.

Speaking of updates…we’re busy preparing everything for the upcoming Year of the Fire Rooster. I can tell you that things are going to be much different next year with the auspicious Victory White Star 1 in the center of the chart. This is such a lucky star and always indicates the advent of hope and new beginnings for many people. However you must know what to do…and all of that will be revealed at my annual Extravaganzas in Singapore and KL. This year we will be holding them much earlier than usual – Sunday, November 20th in Singapore and Sunday December 11th in KL so please plan accordingly!

Sending love,
Lillian

Your Monthly Feng Shui Updates

Eighth Month on the Bing Shen Fire Monkey Year
September 8 – October 7, 2016
Here’s your monthly flying star chart – the eighth month of the Fire Monkey Year and I urge you to review this and pay attention to these recommendations. This covers the period September 8 – October 7, 2016.

In each of the nine grids you’ll see two numbers. The larger number is the annual star, and the smaller number in the lower right corner is the monthly star that you must also take into account.

The first thing to do is determine where the most important rooms in your house are located. By important I mean rooms that you use frequently…like your bedroom, the kids’ rooms, dining room etc. You may already know this, but if not use a reliable compass and stand in the center of your home to take your directions. It’s always good to do a recheck of your directions. Once you know where each sector is, you can refer to the flying star chart below and take appropriate action. So if your front door, the one everyone uses is located in the north sector then refer to the relevant grid below for the kind of luck that will affect everyone in the household this month. Some people like to make this more complicated than necessary – it’s not really difficult so please take the time to review this monthly.

ltflyingstarsept

Which sector will bring you luck?

Those who reside in the SOUTH sector will find that wealth and money comes easily. You can use the water wave symbol to enhance prosperity and wealth chi. If your bedroom is in the south, don’t use water – please use crystals instead to energize. You will also receive help from an old mentoring figure. Display a pair of mandarin ducks or wear the mystic knot to strengthen romance luck.

The energy of the SOUTHWEST continues to be wonderfully auspicious and brings excellent career and wealth luck to those staying in this sector. Projects that have stalled will start again and career advancement looks good. Enhance with the Dzambhala Water Feature and avoid arguments and disagreements with adults and business partners that might develop due to disharmony between the elements. Display Laughing Buddha to overcome this.

Unlucky sectors?

The NORTHEAST is not the place to be this month with an increase in danger and violence. The nasty burglary star 7 with the annual five yellow indicates danger of accidents and money loss. Be careful -display the anti-burglary totem and a pair of coin swords in this area.

There is an unfortunate combination of stars in the EAST this month that generates energies bringing illness to the residents in this sector. It is highly unfavourable for men, especially if you are the eldest son in the family. Please wear the Medicine Buddha Medallion and put a golden wu lou by your bedside. Avoid risky sport activities and display six gold coins tied with red thread to keep unlucky energies under control. Elderly people and pregnant ladies should move out of the EAST sector this month.

It’s important to fine-tune your feng shui every month and take care of the monthly flying stars. Note that the sectors mentioned above are only a few of the sectors. You need to read about all of the sectors to properly update your monthly feng shui. You’ll find these monthly charts in Feng Shui World Magazine, so if you’re not already a subscriber I suggest you sign on! It’s quick and easy and always available when you choose the online version…but printed copies are of course available as well!

Significant Spiritual Days in September 2016
This comprehensive spiritual calendar marks all the significant and powerful days to chant mantras, perform pujas and conduct powerful rituals that will increase your wealth, success, love and happiness.

ltspiritualcalendarsept

This month, Shakyamuni Buddha Day coincides with a partial solar eclipse (on September 1st) and Amitabha Day overlaps with a partial lunar eclipse (on September 16th). Thus all karmic deeds are multiplied trillions of times on these days. Make the best of these days and do special prayers and charitable deeds. It is also a good idea to be a vegetarian on these two days and spend the day reciting mantras and reading sutras.

You’ll also find a chart showing the Vitality Points of Your Body (which are different for men and women) for each day of the month. Performing surgical operations on the joints or organs located at or near these points weakens your life span and vitality considerably so be sure to refer to this table when setting up dates for your medical operations.

Too Much Yin or Yang?ltwhitecouch

Always remember to keep yin and yang in balance. Excessive yang energy happens with too much light and too many bright yang colors in a room – such as yellows or reds. Correct by adding some blues and blacks into your décor. Don’t forget that too much noise can also cause energies to become seriously unbalanced.

Excessive yin energy also presents problems – when a corner appears too dark or your space is too quiet and all your décor is in blues and blacks. The energy will become stale and stagnant. Correct with an infusion of yang energy – more lights, change wall colors to bright white and harmonize décor with happier, more vibrant colors.

You may already feel such energy imbalances in your home and I recommend you take action to correct them quickly.

Always keep your promises. Friendships are always cherished and long lasting when you are honorable and keep your word. When you renege on even a verbal promise it can mean serious loss of face.

How to unlock wealth and power

LTPic12If you missed our amazing Spiritual Feng Shui event in Singapore or KL a few weeks ago and would love to know more about what I covered at these events…then please don’t worry. This full day 4-part video series is available now and you can access it the by clicking here. I normally do not make these available for long so be sure to grab your videos soon.

LTWealthKingGesarThis event was so amazing and insightful to the many people who attended. I was really surprised by the number of newcomers to spiritual feng shui and so happy to welcome them. During the event, I talked about many ways to harness the spiritual energies of the universe for a happier and wealthier life…and I shared powerful practices connected with the Goddess Tara, Guru Rinpoche and King Gesar.
If you are unfamiliar with King Gesar, he is a fearless warrior manifestation of Guru Rinpoche…and anyone involved in commercial activities can benefit tremendously by making daily offerings to him. You can also place the magnificent replica of Wealth King Gesar in your home – his presence unlocks riches, treasure and power…allowing all to enter your home. I covered all this during the event and much much more…including how to use, empower and personalize your own Life Force Stone – so be sure to order your videos to get all the details.

Improve Store Layouts For Good Feng Shui!

LTStoreEnteranceEveryone in business wants to be successful and in today’s competitive market environment it’s more important than ever to stay ahead of the game. Here are three feng shui tips that will bring your store or shop excellent feng shui!
Tip # 1: Be sure that your shop door opens into a small empty and uncluttered space or “bright hall” where there are no screens or furniture to block the chi entering your premises. The chi will collect here before moving throughout the store (see Tip # 3) and customers feel more comfortable when they are not immediately confronted with items for sale.

Tip # 2: Select shapes for your display tables and cabinets according to the corners where they are placed and don’t have any sharp edges (poison arrows) pointed toward the entrance of your store. This means you will need to know the shapes that match the elements of the various corners of your shop and you will need to know the compass directions of your shop. Also don’t have sharp edges of display tables pointed toward
your cash register.

LTStoreHere are the shapes according to the element directions:

FIRE – SOUTH – triangle and rectangle

WATER – NORTH – circular shape

EARTH – NE, CENTER, SW – Square and triangle

WOOD – EAST and SE – Rectangle

METAL – West and NW – Circle and Square

Tip # 3: Once you have customers in your shop you must design the traffic flow within your shop so that it meanders rather than moving in straight lines. Please take time with this as shop owners often overlook this point and meandering traffic is simply excellent for business.

Color Combinations For Good Feng Shui in Business

LTWhitePaintBrushWHITE: White – a bright pure white is a great yang colour and a symbol of prosperity representing gold or metal. It is a good colour to use for the walls and ceiling of your office or shop. Then you can add complimentary colours like red, green or blue in the appropriate compass directions.

BLACK: This represents water and should never be used for ceilings or roofs. It represents an overhanging cloud and water pressing down so black above always spells danger. Don’t use black on your walls, ceilings or carpets. However, you can incorporate a black and white pattern or motif in your office or shop décor and the endless knot is a very auspicious choice.

RED: This is the colour of the SOUTH and shades of red on your south wall could bring more good fortune to your shop or business. Go for a nice warm shade that compliments other design elements in this area and you can also use in wallpaper or curtains in this area. Since the “9” star (magnifying star) has flown to the south this year it is even more auspicious to enhance this sector of your shop.

BLUE: Like black, blue is the colour of water. Use it effectively in the east, southeast and north corners of your shop or office. However be careful when you use this colour since water should never be activated in large quantities.

LTGreenGREEN: Green of course is the colour of money and represents growth…especially a nice bright green. Typically the East and Southeast are good areas to enhance with the colour green and plants are an excellent way to do this.

You can use whatever colour scheme you like in the office but always remember to keep things in balance. Balance the yin and yang elements effectively to create an inviting and happy shopping experience for your customers. Using a pure bright white as a base colour is always a safe choice and then add other good fortune colours for success!

Good luck with these changes,
Lillian

Visualize For Prosperity!

Your inner mind has great power to enhance your life, bringing an avalanche of success and a flow of abundance. When you keep images of victory and prosperity vividly in your mind, your outer reality merges magically with your inner power. Herein is the mystery of visualization… the supremacy of your mind and the vividness of your imagination combine to bring all your desires to fruition. To master the techniques of mental imaging, you need to tune inwards and mentally remove all the stains of outer negativities.

Now, to visualize for prosperity, imagine images that show you surrounded by personal abundance and picture yourself letting go of negativities. This is how luck works. It starts by making the mind positive and strong. Here are a few visualizations to enhance your well-being and ultimately your wealth and prosperity.
LTSun copyTHINK SUN! You can cheer yourself up just by thinking of sunny days. If you are coming out of winter, the sun is especially embracing. And even if you live in countries as I do that get bright sunshine all year round, you will not tire of it. If you are feeling down, depressed or low for any reason at all, visualize the sun and its powerful yang energy filling your entire being with strength and happiness. Better still, step outside and let your body physically soak up the energy of the sun and feel instantly energized!
RADIATE SILENT POWER
Tap into the unseen forces within you. Reach inside for the wisdom, strength and power of silence. Use your inner force. Think of it as a bright, white light inside you. Feel it move along the meridians in your body, lighting up your heart, your throat, your head and you will soon start to exude an effortless strength that speaks volumes. Tap the power inside yourself so that it may show up on the outside in what you say, what you do and how you do it.

TROUBLED SPOTS IN THE MIND
It is the troubled spots in your mind that create obstacles to success, happiness and wellbeing. The Chinese are great believers in never allowing anything to obstruct the flow of chi – the life force – within the mind, body and space. Blocks can cause real problems so whenever you become aware of a hang up you have, get rid of it before it becomes a permanent issue.
LTBirdFlyingFromCage

LIBERATE YOURSELF MENTALLY
Many people live their lives as if they were confined to a gilded cage and afraid to fly. They stick to the familiar and what is known and in doing so miss out on the more spectacular adventures that life has to offer. If this sounds like you, mentally picture yourself as a bird in a cage…then visualize the cage door opening and you flying up to the wondrous skies above. Free your mind of fear and there is nothing that you cannot achieve.

Remember that the mind is a powerful tool, probably more powerful than any physical attributes or inborn talents you may have. So utilize the power of your mind as fully as you can. Reality begins with but a single thought. The more you think of yourself as the best, the nearer to your dreams and fantasy you will find yourself…until it becomes reality for you.

With love,
Lillian

Learn to Depend on Yourself

Learn to depend on yourself! Don’t give up this right to anyone else – it is your right alone. This is something I believe in strongly. Many people depend on others too much because they are lazy or lack self-confidence. They do nothing…or they go outside for help…only to get heartbroken or disappointed. Everything you need is already inside of you. Learn to depend on yourself.

Take time for this

LTpic11Have just finished my Spiritual Extravaganza here in KL with a wonderful crowd and saw many old friends and students. I am deeply honored that so many came from around the world for this important spiritual event…from the Ukraine, Russia, India, Sri Lanka, America…I just cannot name them all.

We were so lucky to have Khenpo Delek Rinpoche here with us to perform the Bum Tsog puja to Guru Rinpoche. The word bum is Tibetan for 100,000 and tsog means offering- so it translates to mean feast offering. This is a very precious practice that brings enormous spiritual and worldly benefits for everyone and their families for the coming year. As Rinpoche said…this is for all sentient beings because we are all connected. For many attendees it was their first time to experience a puja like this and several came to talk to me personally about how much it meant to them.

It won’t be too much longer before the 2017 Horoscope books will be published and ready for you. Thankfully the coming Year of the Rooster looks to be a good year with the number 1 Victory Star ruling the center of the chart! Make your plans now to attend our 2017 Extravaganza and note that they will be held earlier this year – the 20th of November in Singapore and the 11th of December in KL.

Sending love,
Lillian

Your Monthly Feng Shui Updates
Sixth Month on the Bing Shen Fire Monkey Year
July 7 – August 7, 2016

Here’s your monthly flying star chart – the sixth month of the Fire Monkey Year and I urge you to review this and pay attention to these recommendations. This covers the period July 7 – August 7, 2016.

LTFlyingStarJuly

Which sector will bring you luck?

The WEST is the luckiest sector this month with the prosperity 8 star bringing financial success and wealth luck to the female of the family. Display a water fountain in the west to enhance money luck. If you are a writer or academic you will have a smooth and successful time. Display peonies and mandarin ducks in the west of your bedroom to improve your love luck.

The 1 star visits the SOUTH so there is good financial and career luck for residents of this sector. Enhance the luck here with a water wave symbol and statue of Kwan Kung. If your office is located here, display a Chinese calligraphy set on your desk to enhance creativity and ideas and display a golden arrowana to give your career a boost!

Unlucky sectors?

You must be alert and extremely careful in the NORTHWEST this month as there are high chances of robbery and burglary. This applies to all households as the burglary star has flown into the NW of the house. Keep this sector very quiet and no arguments. Use a still water feature here and carry the anti-burglary protection with you. Display the red robe laughing Buddha to turn bad energy into good energy.

The NORTHEAST is visited by the 9 multiplying star making stress levels soar and you may find that children and females in the home are more short-tempered than usual. Try not to spend too much time in this area and place a golden Mantra Pillar or 9 Spoke Dorje in this area to control the bad chi. Do not leave candles or stoves unattended here due to fire danger. Display a laughing Buddha with ingots for prosperity luck!

Spiritual Feng Shui

Significant Spiritual Days in July 2016
This comprehensive spiritual calendar marks all the significant and powerful days to chant mantras, perform pujas and conduct powerful rituals that will increase your wealth, success, love and happiness.

ltspiritualcalendar2

This is the double fourth month of the Monkey Year and it is the turning point of the year. Since this is also the Year of Guru Rinpoche, use these days to chant as many Guru Rinpoche mantras as possible. We recommend reciting the 7 Line Prayer to Guru Rinpoche 108 times (page 39 Chant A Mantra – 4th Edition) and read the Sampha Lhundrupma if you have this prayer. Make as many tsog offerings to Guru Rinpoche as possible and take note of all activities to be avoided ( funerals, weddings etc.) indicated on particular calendar days shown.

You’ll also find a chart showing the Vitality Points of Your Body (which are different for men and women) for each day of the month. Performing surgical operations on the joints or organs located at or near these points weakens your life span and vitality considerably so be sure to refer to this table when setting up dates for your medical operations.

LTHouseWithCurveA Winding Pathway
Any lane or path leading to your main door should be curved and preferably winding. A straight path that leads directly into your home sends arrows of killing energy or shar chi. Such a path should also not narrow out or in. It is best when the width of the path is constant. Placing lights on the pathway is also auspicious

Decree abundance for yourself and it shall be established for you. Live your life with an open mind and a gentle heart and a determination to enrich your own life and the lives of others. This combined with feng shui practices will astonish you and bring truly amazing results.

You’ll be amazed by this

LTpic11Greetings from KL and I am getting ready to leave for Singapore for our Spiritual Feng Shui Event this Sunday. We’ve been so busy preparing for this…and I know you will be amazed by the 100,000 Feast Offering (Bum Tsog) to Guru Rinpoche led by Khenpo Delek Rinpoche.

This auspicious event brings enormous benefits of wealth, long-life and happiness, with the power to remove obstacles of all kinds. Here are a few of the benefits:

  • Boost your wealth and income luck
  • Improve your health and overcome illness
  • Remove obstacles in your life
  • Gain insight for decision making
  • Greater harmony in all your relationships
  • Stay safe if you find yourself in a dangerous situation

And for everyone who attends, we’ve prepared a powerful Guru Rinpoche amulet text that provides protection against the malevolent forces of a “dark” year.

In today’s ezine I’ve given you the way to determine your “Personal Trigram” for this year. This is kind of cool and I would venture to guess that many of you are not fiamiliar with this. You see, your mood and attitude and action toward success (or failure) are determined by your personal trigram, which is calculated using your gender and age (so it changes every year). To find out your personal trigram for 2016 please read the article this week…I think you’ll find it fun and informative!

See you in Singapore!

Lillian

The Secrets of the Tai Chi Symbol

LTInteractionOfYYinAndYangChi energies do not just affect the practice of feng shui. All Chinese esoteric sciences explain phenomenon in terms of it. Chi energy flows in the living environment and inside the human body, thereby having a direct bearing on the wellbeing of mankind.

Chi energy manifests in the way we express ourselves and through the way we dress, the way we eat, the way we write and the way we communicate our creativity. Chi thus exerts tremendous significance on the way we live, the way we breathe, exercise and maintain our good health.

Exponents of Chinese martial arts and Chi Kung will also tell you that the secret of excellence in these practices is the ability to harness and control the Chi within the human body to effectively encompass them in postures and movements. Chi is thus likened to the living essence of mankind and his environment.

In feng shui, the harmony of Chi energy is paramount to establishing balance in any given space. It is the quality of this balance that brings good fortune. When the Chi of the living space becomes unbalanced, troubles occur and problems start to appear.

Likewise, when Chi within the body is unbalanced, illness develops. Since the balance of Chi in living and work spaces is affected by the way buildings are designed and constructed – the placement of walls, the layout of rooms and the dimensions of spaces created – knowing how to ensure a good balance of Chi is a very big part of creating good feng shui.

Chi Is Affected By The Passage Of Time

The balance of Chi is also affected by the passage of time. The underlying essence of feng shui is that it is never static. Instead, it is dynamic and Chi energy, as well as flow of Chi, is always undergoing change and transformation. So there is a time dimension to the balance of Chi energy and by extension to the quality of feng shui in any space.

When applying the different formulas of feng shui – whether these refer to the space or the time dimension – we should always think of space in terms of the tai chi symbol i.e. the yin and yang forces that make up the space.

The Tai Chi Symbol Expresses Yin & Yang

LTYinAndYangChi energy is expressed in the tai chi symbol, shown as a circle with a black and a white embryonic symbol. The white part of the symbol signifies yang Chi while the black part signifies the yin Chi. Note there is a little of yin in yang and vice versa.

Yin is stillness while yang is movement. As soon as there is movement, the two forces of Chi interact and according to the ancients, as soon as yin and yang interact, the limits of the Universe manifest. These are expressed as six energies, which in turn find expression as the five elements. The six energies and the five elements in turn also interact with each other to create what the texts refer to as the ten thousand things. It is from the study of the way the different energies of Chi interacts that feng shui formulas are interpreted and applied to living space.

Based on these principles, the ancient masters developed ways to harness the energy flow of any space, at the same time also adjusting to changes occurring over time. So these principles underlie the practice of feng shui.

What Trigram Rules Your Mood This Year?

Did you know that your moods, attitudes and tendencies towards success or self-destructive behavior are determined by the trigram that rules your mood during any given year? This is your personal trigram and it changes from year to year. Once you know which trigram dominates your mood you’ll understand yourself much better and you can manipulate your activities and responses according to your annual trigram.

LTTrigram

So, which trigram rules YOUR mood and actions this year? You can determine this with the following formula.

FOR WOMEN: Begin your counting at trigram KAN (in the north) and then move counter clockwise counting 1 year for each trigram until you reach your age this year. So you will move KAN to CHIEN to TUI to KUN etc and keep going until you reach your current age. So if you are 40 years of age now then your ruling trigram this year is KEN.

FOR MEN: Begin your counting at trigram LI (in the south) and then move clockwise counting 1 year for each trigram until you reach your age this year. So you will move LI to KUN to TUI to CHIEN until you reach your current age. If you are now 40 years of age then your ruling trigram this year is SUN.

Remember that your ruling trigram changes EVERY YEAR!

Refer to the following Trigram descriptions to learn more about your PERSONAL trigram this year!

TRIGRAM LI is the Trigram of Fire. It attaches itself to dry wood and consumes it. It signifies attachment and passion, a clinging that can be destructive. This is the light that gives you brilliance, fame and glory, but the Trigram Li can be dangerous as it can make you addicted to the fire of intense brightness. The creature of the Li is the crimson pheonix; the organ it affects is the eye and it also stands for the middle daughter.

TRIGRAM Kun is the Trigram of Mother Earth; nurturing, caring and mothering. It is receptive to ideas, and symbolizes the cauldron, the vase, the container. Earth will always feel better when it unites with heaven, so those who are unmarried and are ruled by this trigram will themselves be thinking of marriage and feeling very family-oriented. It is like entering a nesting year. This trigram has affinity to the ox; and its organ is the stomach. Its energy is always strongly matriarchal.

TRIGRAM Tui is the trigram associated with young women and with the pursuit of pleasure. Sometimes it means a concubine or a young lover. This trigram can manifest addiction to the joyous lifestyle, and addiction that throws good sense and caution to the winds. Astrologers usually interpret this trigram as indicating a year of debauchery and danger. When wives see their husbands dominated by this trigram in any year – that is when they would be wise to take all necessary precautions to keep their husbands from straying into the arms of a seductress.

TRIGRAM Chien is the Trigram of Heaven, the skies from where all good things come. This is a most fortunate trigram for a man, as it manifests strong masculine energy. The trigram brings superior leadership qualities including courage and a toughness to overcome whatever obstacles one may encounter. The creature that symbolizes this trigram is the horse and its most vital organ is the head where the brain resides. When men are dominated by this trigram, that will be the year when strength blossoms from within. When women are ruled by this trigram, that is the year when they will come across bossier than usual and also more agressive.

TRIGRAM Kan is the Trigram of Danger, where water has reached its zenith, about to overflow. This is a trigram that suggest stagnation might be just around the corner, the kind that is caused by a severe loss of everything. This is a trigram which also suggests making stupid, foolish decisions, with an inability to control oneself. The creature that manifests the attributes of this trigram is the boar on the farm, and the organ signified is the ear. When a man is ruled by this trigram, he will find that the year is a seriees of missed opportunities due to no one by himself. For a woman, this trigram can indicate an affair with a younger man.

TRIGRAM Ken is the Trigram of the Mountain. This symbolizes inflexiibility, coming to a stubborn standstill, an impasse. Watch that you do not allow dogmatism to create invisible barriers to your own success. For a man to be dominated by the muntain suggests obstacles that block success. Look for hidden ways to get round the mountain, or better yet, dig up the gold from the mountain. For a woman, this trigram suggests a weakness for a young man. But it is an interlude in your life that might well bring happiness.

TRIGRAM Chen is the Trigram of Growth and Development. It indicates an awesome year for those who are ruled by this trigram. There are exciting, new beginnings that set the tone for the near future. It will be like the sound of thunder awakening a vital force that helps you break new ground. This is a trigram that is very promising for both the man and the woman.

TRIGRAM Sun is the Trigram of Wind, but it is a gentle wind that finds its way into every small corner of the world. Astrologers interpret this as recognition; gaining respect. The wind makes your attainments known to the world, so here it suggests fame. But the wind is also an agent of dispersion, dissolving everything in its path. The creature manifested here is the sheep or the mountain goat who is careful and wary. For a man, this trigram can bring you a year when powerful forces open new doors; for a woman, this trigram could suggests a year when your networking skills could wlell bring exciting results.
To your success!
Lillian

Try This For Cash Luck!

We can all use some cash luck! Place a small amount of sea salt or rock salt inside your wallet to attract cash luck. Sea salt is a great cleanser but it also has the capacity to attract WEALTH! Sew several grains of sea salt into a small pouch in your wallet. You will not only attract cash into your wallet, but this also ensures that too much money doesn’t leave your wallet as well.

Remember the old saying…the longest journey starts with the first step? Your ideas will never materialize if they remain only as thoughts. If there is something you really want, don’t wait any longer to get started, just go for it!

Do this for your kids

It’s Time To Re-energize & Empower
Your Feng Shui Remedies

It’s excellent to re-energize and empower your feng shui remedies this month. Give all your windchimes, pi yaos, celestial guardians and any other feng shui items you have a good clean with a damp cloth. This generates movement chi and awakens their energy. Think good thoughts as you are cleaning each object. Then pass some incense over each of the items which chanting the mantra OM AH HUM and follow with the dependent arising mantra found below and also on page 12 of your Chant A Mantra Book.

WALK AROUND THE MEDICINE BUDDHA STUPA

May 2, 11, 20 and 29th are powerful days to circumambulate sacred objects like the Stupa. If you have any of the stupas from WOFS, then place them in the center of your home and surround with candles. Walk clockwise around the stupa at least 15 times. Doing this around the Medicine Buddha Stupa on the above days brings blessings of good health and abundance, especially important this year with the 2 star holding middle position in the annual flying star chart.

LTMedicineBuddhaStupa2

Circumaubulate this stupa on the days listed
and as often as you like!

Finding Your Mountain

LTMountainPaintingIf you are planning to purchase a new piece of art for your collection at home (or at work), why not consider a picture with mountain images. There is nothing really as beautiful and supportive as a range of mountains hanging behind you…something that can simulate the celestial protective turtle or the powerful almighty dragon.

Choosing your mountain painting is of course very personal, but there are a few things to keep in mind.

1) Choose mountain paintings that look very majestic and unmovable (but still friendly) and that emit a balance of elements in sync with the wall you plan to hang the picture on. Mountains exude powerful earth energy and are suitable for walls on the southwest, northeast, west or northwest.

2) If your mountain painting has lots of lush vegetation and greens, then hang it on the east, southeast or south walls of your living room. If they are snow-topped mountains, this is excellent for the east, southeast and north of your home or room.

3) I don’t recommend unfriendly, hostile looking mountains that are barren and have many sharp triangular shaped peaks.

4) If your picture has mountains that are yellow or brown and look stony like granite, then this would be excellent placed on a southwest northeast, northwest or west wall.

5) Mountain paintings should always show the mountain dominating the valley. For example if the valley in the foreground takes up most of the picture with mountains in the far distance, then it will offer no support at all. It suggests the mountain is subservient to the valley and that you will fall over backwards. In feng shui we consider this type of painting quite fatal when it is hung behind you. If however you hang it on a wall facing you it could be quite auspicious. We must always be aware of what energy we are tapping into.

6) Mountain paintings should not have water flows and waterfalls, unless they are very tiny and dwarfed by the image of the mountain itself. This is because when we use mountain energy, it must be stronger than water energy!

Mountains are very supportive and emit powerful protective energy. It’s worthwhile to keep looking for a picture with mountains until you find one that is right for you!

To your success!
Lillian

Mystical Symbols of Past and Present

In Taoist feng shui there are many versions of mystic symbols which can be empowered to become talismans and amulets. In times long ago, the patriarchs and ladies of the upper classes wore these symbols, as did the mandarins and officials of the court. These symbols were treated like talismans and were often worn as jewelry pieces either as rings or pins. Some were even worn as hairpieces, while others were hidden inside robes and secret belts.

Often these protective amulets were drawn with sacred prayers written in calligraphy and were then consecrated by monks or holy men. Special auspicious gemstones such as blue lapis lazuli, red coral, turquoise, yellow amber, green jade and pearl coloured moonstones were also incorporated as finely embedded decorative energy enhancers. The selection of stones was usually based on astrological calculations. When coloured stones were used, they were fairly large pieces as they often doubled as symbols of authority and also represented the five elements.

Some of the symbols popular amongst senior court officials and army generals included the Ru Yi (symbol of authority), the longevity symbol and the mystic knot. Each had a specific meaning and when empowered were believed to bring better health, strength and vigour as well protection against unnatural death by accident or execution.

Over the years I have been collecting some old talismans from China and surrounding countries. Some pieces have inspired some of my feng shui jewelry…I am a big believer as you know in wearing jewelry and gemstones that have auspicious meanings. After all, these mystical symbols and gemstones have been worn for thousands of years in many different cultures and they are as powerful today as in the past. Fix Your Leaky Stairs

LTStairsWithHoles2Holes in between the steps of a staircase suggest a “leak” in your wealth. Close up these gaps with carpet or plywood – even if you are in a rented unit. The chi can then flow strongly and firmly when the staircase is solid. It’s always better when possible to have a wooden staircase as this symbolizes growth.

Think back over the last few days to the thoughts you have had, people you have met and the events that have taken place. Did you feel anything was coincidental? Life’s coincidences are not really coincidences at all. If you live in a state of constant awareness, you can appreciate that certain events, people and circumstances in your life are inextricably linked.

I love what’s happening now

LTpic11A few weeks ago I told you how I was redoing the EAST side of my home – it’s coming along beautifully and I love the rejuvenating effect it is having on so many areas of my life.

What I didn’t mention before is that I am also redecorating my WEST area and my new home office. I feel really good about this new office of mine, as the West is so auspicious this year. I have written all about this in the upcoming May 2016 issue of FSW magazine so be sure to grab your copy.

This is the thing about Feng shui. It really is important to stay fully up to date -both astrologically and following the time changes in energy. Now I actually have two computer offices – one in the West, which is lucky for me, and one in the Southeast (which although it is not so good for me since it is an East group direction) has the victory star this year! So you see you need to consider all things when updating your feng shui. Be sure to pick up a copy of the May issue of Feng Shui World Magazine.

Be your own feng shui detective – it’s never to late to make the changes that are necessary especially if things have not been going well for you. Open your mind to all the possibilities!

Rejuvenate Your Chi! Go to Sleep Before the Rat Hour

LTLadyatSpa
Everyone wants to look younger and more beautiful these days! All you have to do is look at the cosmetic counters filled with anti-aging creams and lotions…and the myriad of other products on the market today associated with the secrets of keeping a youthful and vibrant appearance.

But did you know that our cells are naturally rejuvenated between the hours of 11pm and 1am each night…and if you’re not sleeping during these crucial hours then you’re missing out on the rejuvenating process for that night?

Maybe there’s more to the old expression of “getting your beauty sleep” than we realize. According to Ayurvedic doctors, if you’re a “night owl” and regularly go to bed after 1am every night, there is a real danger your cells may not be rejuvenating quickly enough, leading to premature aging. Exactly what everyone is trying to avoid!

Everyone wants
to look younger!

LTLadySleepingIf you want to stay youthful and strong…make sure you go to bed before the hour of the RAT! And what’s even better is you will automatically begin to rise earlier each day…allowing you to watch sunrise and experience one of the most beautiful times of the day. The Chinese believe that every time your body absorbs the chi of sunrise it becomes that much stronger.

So get to bed by 11 pm and don’t miss out on your beauty sleep!

4 Special Feng Shui Tips
For Your Meditation Place

Choosing a place to meditate is very personal but here are some special feng shui tips you may want to consider in order to enhance your meditation place and your practice as well.

Tip # 1: Location of Your Meditation Room

Try to meditate in a special room that you designate just for this purpose…or a special area of one room if you don’t have the luxury and space for one special meditation room only. It should be quiet and somewhere you will not be disturbed. The location is up to you but the room or area should not be directly above or below a kitchen or toilet or a heavy piece of furniture. A good location is always in the back half of your home.

Tip # 2: On Color & Décor

The décor should obviously be calm and soothing and the temperature neither too hot nor cold…something that is comfortable for you. Generally the color you choose for this room is up to you but red, a yang and hot fire color is not recommended for a meditation room. The chi should flow easily and smoothly here so minimal approach with regard to furnishings is better. It goes without saying that the room should be sparkling clean and free of clutter.

Tip # 3: The Altar in Your Meditation Room

Mediating in front of an altar is very calming and the preparation of your altar is of course a very personal matter. The presence of holy objects or figures such as Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mary or your own particular saint makes this altar and space unique to you and very special indeed. Do make sure that your altar does not share a wall with a toilet or the kitchen and there is no toilet directly above your altar. Also please check and ensure that the altar in your meditation area is not directly facing the door, because if you sit in front of it to face your altar to meditate your back will be to the door and this is very unfavorable from a feng shui perspective.

Tip # 4: Capturing Auspicious Chi For Meditation

Be sure when you meditate you orient your sitting position using proper feng shui which means according to your Kua number and the Eight Mansions Formula. This means that your head should face the direction deemed to be most auspicious for you and the chi that is coming towards you. In other words you are looking towards your most favorable direction.

Here is a reference table for you indicating your best direction according to your kua number. You should face this direction as you sit in meditation. If you do not know your kua number then go to www.wofs.com homepage and you will find a kua calculator in the top right corner and you can receive your kua number instantly.

I wish you continued success as you continue your mediation practices.

Check Surrounding Buildings

The buildings or other homes around your house radiate energy very much like a force field, which will interact, with the energy of your home. Develop an understanding of these force fields so that you know if they are bringing good or harmful chi. Usually when the buildings are bigger and taller it is better if they are behind you to lend support and protection rather than in front of your house, which will block your luck and opportunity.

Your Karmic Luck

Feng shui must always be practiced for the right reason…even in the area of romance! There are many things feng shui can do to improve your chances of finding a mate…a lifelong partner and a family.

But here’s what feng shui cannot promise or guarantee…that your marriage or relationship will be successful and long lasting because in the end the relationship all depends on your own karma…the character traits and quality of the person you attract… and your ultimate happiness is really your own karmic luck.

This is a sign of sudden money luck

LTpic11I’m not sure if you’re aware but I’ve just recently released my updated best-selling book – Feng Shui For Interiors! You may already have an older version…but it’s well worth the investment to order your updated copy…especially if you’re really serious about your feng shui.

Naturally the book begins with protective interior feng shui, which I always recommend as the best way to begin your practice -that is starting off with a protective strategy. Over these past weeks I’ve given you many ways to protect yourself and your family…especially since we have now entered a Black Year governed by the Illness Star or “Star of the Greedy Wolf” in the center of the chart!

In this book you’ll also learn how to enhance your rooms and corners, how to personalize your feng shui, there’s a section on flying star feng shui (and how to address specific facing directions), colour combinations, lighting, how to revitalize your home energy and the final chapter is on Spiritual feng shui. You see, every home becomes more prosperous and safe when powerful spiritually empowered amulets and plaques containing secret mantras are placed in the home!

Well I could go on and on…but instead I recommend you place your order today.

Activating The East – The Home of The DragonLTDragonSculpture

The element of the East is wood and the trigram of this sector is Chen. It’s an important direction in feng shui as it is the home of the celestial dragon…and the direction that is filled with the most amount of sheng chi or growth chi. That’s why it’s the ideal part of the home for the sons of the family to have their bedrooms…and in fact if you were to go back in time, you would find that in the palaces of the Forbidden City in Beijing, all the young princes of the realm had their quarters on the east side.

So how do you activate the east sector? Certainly with water…and by always placing the image or sculpture of a dragon here…and one of the best is where the dragon holds a symbolic rotating pearl and spouts water! In 2016 it is even more important to place water in the east because of the overall lack of water in the paht chee chart and also because water brings power luck necessary to jump start new projects and avenues to success. The dragon is particularly important this year as it brings some hidden water which provides some measure of relief although this doesn’t happen until the third quarter.

LTDragonPaintingMany people ask me how many dragons to place here for maximum luck for their family…and my reply is always as many as you like…but make sure you have the karma to carry the number of dragons you display! Nothing is more auspicious than the nine dragons and some see the number 9 as the “ultimate or completion number”. So if you are able to find the Nine Dragons Mural or a suitable replica of the Nine Dragons screen it can bring incredible benefit to your whole family. These nine dragons will generate extra strong chi energy for long-term prosperity luck!

However, there is tremendous yang energy associated with the dragon and not everyone can sustain a large number of them…so better not to be too greedy – a single celestial creature is really quite sufficient. However, if you are born a dragon or hold a high position in an organization you can probably sustain the yang energy of several of them. Place your dragon in a water feature or near water – and it should not be too large or too small. And remember…your dragon should never be locked up in a display case but always allowed to be free and fly up to the skies!

To your success!
Lillian

Sensing The Chi
Using Taoist Feng Shui

LTTRuckcarryingTreesChi is literally the wind, just as money is water. Chi brings all the attributes of happiness as well as facilitates the water, which brings wealth. So while water is vital and important (especially this year, in 2016) chi is even more so. When you test the wind, you are in reality sensing the chi around you. Here are a few of the important signs to look out for…all mentioned in my newly updated version of “Feng Shui For Interiors”.

Health Luck: When testing for health luck look for signs of movement revealing yang chi – like a gentle breeze or the colour white (which always means healing and renewal) or the sun suddenly appearing from behind clouds – a powerful symbol of yang energy that recovery is certain.

Business Luck: When sensing the chi for clues related to business luck, look for signs related to the wood element. You might see a truck carrying a load of logs or transporting furniture; flowers, plants, a view of water, or suddenly turning on your TV to see a picture of a forest of trees – all are excellent signs that your business is going to succeed! If precisely at your birth hour a visitor arrives bringing his young son (below the age of 9), this is an excellent sign especially if he seems to like your place and starts to play. If he starts crying and wants to leave…better think twice about your new business.

LTBirdsFlying3Sudden Money Luck: To sense the chi for sudden money luck look for signs of prosperity like the appearance of coins, an image of a river, the rain falling or a bird flying towards you. Birds are generally speaking the BEST indicators of sudden wealth luck. When you hang pictures of birds or paintings of many birds it suggests great good fortune coming towards you.

Extreme Good Fortune: Flowers also indicate extreme good fortune when you are looking for signs that indicate a good business venture. If they are blossoming it suggests a project coming to successful fruition. And there are many other predictions associated with the specific colours of the flowers…like displaying fresh flowers that are yellow in colour is said to be most auspicious in terms of attracting wealth luck!
