Can you see this ahead?

ltpic9We’re still in Hungry Ghost month so I decided this week to give you a few more tips that you’ll find in the article below. Some people don’t follow any of these suggestions because they “don’t believe in ghosts” but I have had too many personal experiences, as I know many of you have had, to ignore the recommendations. Just being aware of this period and what can happen is a good way to start.

I also want to remind you to check the monthly flying stars. We publish the monthly chart in Feng Shui World monthly magazine and in this ezine as well. Be sure to read the article below on the illness star and how your good health can drastically be affected on an annual and monthly basis. It also explains why you might be having aches and pains in your joints and limbs this year or problems with your liver. There are, of course, cures and preventative measures that you can take once you understand the cause of the problem.

Happy to say that the 2015 Astrology books are in print and will soon be coming your way!

Stay healthy and be careful,
Lillian

The Number 2 Star And How It Affects
Your Good Health According To Your Animal Sign

The number 2 star always brings illness and this year (especially this month) it’s critical to understand what type of illness you might suffer from so you’re not surprised and you can take preventive measures.

Depending on which sector the annual 2 star occupies, results in certain ailments to specific parts of the body. For example, when it occupies the EAST and SOUTHEAST (as it does this year) it tends to bring aches and pains relating to the tongue, liver, joints and limbs. If the affliction is very strong, then it could trigger serious damage to your bones and limbs. And this month the number 9 (the magnifying star) has also flown to the EAST sector further strengthening the illness energies. Be sure to look at the monthly stars as well as the annual stars in the chart – we provide this to you in each issue of our monthly publication – Feng Shui World Magazine as well as in this ezine.

Now the illness star can also cause certain animal signs to fall ill when it flies into their animal palace. For example this year it has flown to the EAST, which is the home of the RABBIT, so those born in the year of the RABBIT are affected.

You can place appropriate cures in the EAST – such as the golden wu lou tied with 6 coins and the Medicine Buddha Plaque and be sure to carry a Health Medallion especially if you are a RABBIT or your bedroom, main door or rooms you occupy frequently are located in this sector.

The following table shows the body part and animal sign associated with the 8 Directions of the Paht Kua.

Direction Element Body Part Animal Sign
North Water Kidney, Ear Rat
Northeast Earth Stomach, Womb, Nose Ox, Tiger
East Wood Liver, Limbs, Joint, Tongue Rabbit
Southeast Wood Liver, Limbs, Joint, Tongue Dragon, Snake
South Fire Heart, Blood, Veins, Eyes Horse
Southwest Earth Stomach, Womb, Nose Sheep, Monkey
West Metal Lungs, Nose, Skin Rooster
Northwest Metal Lungs, Nose, Skin Dog, Boar

Be Careful! More On Staying Safe
During Hungry Ghost Month
(July 27-August 24, 2014)

LTScaredLadyIn Chinese tradition the seventh month in the Chinese calendar is called Hungry Ghost Month…the time when ghosts and spirits including those of deceased ancestors come from the various realms to visit earth. During this period, people throughout different parts of Asia make it a practice to take care of the souls of the dead…spirits that are set free to wander the earth among us for a little while as the gates of the spirit world (both Heaven and Hell) are opened for them. Billions of spirits roam freely to visit those of us who are so fortunate to live in the human realm. We appease these spirits with certain rituals and feasts, entertainment, gift offerings, burning paper money and of course the ritual of offering incense.

Generally Speaking…
During this period parents usually ask their kids not to go out or swim late at night. Contractors and builders don’t normally begin construction this month and if you’re doing renovation you’re advised to start before the 27th of July and finish after the 24th of August.

It’s not a good time to travel too much, to move house or to get married! Refrain from starting a new business or buying a house during this period.

You’ll Need More Yang than Yin Energy…
Ghosts live in a yin environment, while human domains are generally more “yang” in nature. When yin chi is dominant in your home or office the ghosts will feel more comfortable there. So it makes sense to do everything possible to avoid yin spirit formation in your home and thus make it much less appealing for the ghosts to ensure that they don’t come for a visit.

LTLadyOrganizingA house that is too yin is usually dark with little or no sunlight and fresh air. Houses that are build near churches, hospitals and graveyards or covered by too many trees and branches (which block out sunlight) are also attractive to ghosts. Make sure to keep your own house very clean, open the windows when possible to let in the fresh air and as much sunlight as possible.

Remember that clutter and dark corners cause stagnant energy and yin spirit formation. Get rid of any collected rubbish and clutter. Turn on the lights, play music and brighten dark areas or rooms that are not often used. A bright and airy home with plenty of yang energy is best.

Wearing bright colours this month rather than dark colours will also promote more personal yang energy.

We All Need Protection!

Protective Guardians
LTChungKweiChung Kwei is the famous Chinese “ghost catcher” and we believe that his powerful image alone is enough to chase the wandering spirits away. Invite him into your home and office to gain his powerful protection against harmful and disturbing ghostly influences.

A Pair of Fu Dogs or Fu Lions – Place a pair of these mythical guardian beasts flanking your entrance to guard your home and office. The Chinese Fu Dogs are always depicted in male and female form to symbolize the protective energy of the matriarch and patriarch.

Protective Amulets
Mantra Protection – Be sure to wear amulets that have been empowered with powerful protective mantras on your body. If you wear mantras given to you by high lamas or holy men, do make sure that the mantra touches your body as this is what ensures your body will not be harmed.

lthumhum

The HUM Pendant – The seed syllable “HUM” is very powerful and represents the trinity of heaven, earth and mankind. It is believed to encompass the foundations of all prayers and mantras. Worn at your heart protects you from harm coming from the ten direction (the eight compass directions, from above and below. If you feel you are in danger chant under your breath “hum, hum, hum, hum.”

Be sure to visit the megamall at WOFS.COM and take a look at the many protective amulets we have developed for you.

Most people consider this a dangerous month as ghosts can cause great misfortune especially to those whose chi energy is depleted or whose luck is low. Take care to follow these suggestions and stay well protected!

With love,
Lillian

After graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Lillian went on to pursue a highly successful business career in banking and finance in the 1980’s in Hong Kong. Her business acumen, drive and abundant energy soon led her from the finance world to the world of luxury department stores and boutiques where, through a leveraged buy out, she became Chairman and shareholder of The Dragon Seed Group.

All the while she was guided and taught by her feng shui masters in Hong Kong and China – and she attributes much of her monumental and quick rise to success in Hong Kong directly to them.

Lillian soon decided to retire from active corporate life and return to Malaysia to raise her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, and spend more time with her family. It was at this time she began to devote her energy to writing and furthering her study of feng shui.

She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.

She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.

In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! There seems to be no stopping her popularity and these days!

Three Peaks…Success For The Next Generation

There is an old belief that if you can clearly see three sharp peaks among hills in the distance and they are directly facing your main door, then one of your sons will rise to great power and prominence among the ruling elite of your world. Your good fortunes will last through to the next generation…meaning your children will enjoy meaningful and happy lives.

The passive observer in life learns more from remaining silent and watching rather than from being an active participant. Refrain from compulsively intruding in other people’s lives and always voicing your opinion especially when it’s not asked for. Rarely do we understand the entirety of other people’s circumstances so best not to interfere unless your participation is requested.

ltpic9It’s Fathers Day in a few days time and I wish all of you fathers out there a very happy day!

As you know, in 2014 the luck of the patriarch is severely afflicted by the Five Yellow or Wu Wang, which increases the chances of falling victim to accidents, illness, job loss and depression. It is also right now, in summer time that the Five Yellow is at its strongest power – so it is important for all patriarchs to be alert to danger and to carry or wear protection.

For protection against injury and accidents, wear the syllable HUM – particularly if you are a dad born in the year of the Dog or the Boar. For protection from robbery and violence carry the Night Spot Safety Amulet which features the famous ghost catcher Chung Kwei – you can hang in in your car if you like – I especially recommend this if you born in the year of the Boar, Tiger or Ox. If you were lucky enough to purchase one of my seed syllable silk tie then please wear it a lot! This tie is imprinted with all the protective syllables that repel office politics and harmful gossip. It will keep you safe from danger during your commute and was especially designed to touch the throat, heart and navel chakras.

If you’re like some men I know, you may not like wearing showy jewelry and perhaps you prefer to keep your feng shui and spiritual cures a bit more personal. In this case, please carry protective amulets in your pocket, briefcase or car – they will continue to work their magic to protect and support you!

Wishing all Dad’s a happy and safe Fathers Day and continued blessings in the months ahead!

Love

Lillian

LTCuldeSacMany people have asked me if living in a cul-de-sac is bad feng shui and the straight answer to this is “yes” as it suggests there is no way out. This in turn suggests when you have problems it may be hard to work your way out of the problems thereby causing you misfortune.

A “dead-end” road (even the words sound foreboding) connotes a full stop to your progress and growth…and if your location has higher ground behind it (such as a sloping hill) you are definitely “boxed-in” or trapped. If you live in a house located at the end of the cul-de-sac the chi energy coming to you house is usually fast…so this energy is pernicious and non-beneficial bringing misfortune. And at night as the cars drive down the road with their headlights shining directly into your house, it suggests tigers in the night attacking your home!

THE CURE
If you are now living in a cul-de-sac or at the end the road, the cure lies in harnessing the energy that flows down the road towards your house. If you are able to capture the chi and transform it into good sheng chi before it enters your home, you will have effectively transformed it to your advantage. This is because feng shui is all about capturing and creating good chi.

HERE’S WHAT TO DO:

The best way of transforming chi energy is to first force it to slow down and this is done when it meets an obstacle such as a wall, trees, boulders or any kind of structure. It also slows down if it meets a body of water.

Remember we don’t want to make the chi stop altogether; our intention is only to slow it down…and then capture the slowed down chi energy and allow it to accumulate before entering your home. This way excellent feng shui chi is created which brings you good fortune.

Chi is transformed in different ways; for example if you build a wall, you can create a round or square hole to let the chi flow through to a small courtyard or space on the other side. Or you could use a trellis planted with creeping vines to effectively slow down the oncoming chi. Using a trellis made from soft bamboo with an interwoven design will allow the chi pass through slowly.

LTElementsWhen you decide on a cure feature to use, it is important to incorporate element considerations into the cure, which makes it much more effective. Use elements to exhaust the bad energy without destroying it. First identify the element of the offending road coming at the house from its direction and use the element that will exhaust (not destroy) it in the cyclical relationship of elements.

For example if the road is coming from the south direction (fire) towards your house, then use a wall made of bricks (earth) which will suppress or exhaust the fire (not destroy it).

There are solutions to most feng shui problems and although living in a cul-de-sac is not ideal, the above suggestions offer you a way to transform potential misfortune into something that will bring you success luck.

All the best!
Lillian

Beware the Chueh Ming Direction

The Cheuh Ming direction is the worst of the four bad directions. It means total loss of everything and in certain circumstances can spell the death of an entire family. Be sure to check your kua number (go to http://www.wofs.com and click the kua calculator in the upper right corner of the home page to receive your directions and kua number).

You must not face your cheuh ming direction when sleeping, sitting, eating or working – never! The misfortune experienced is exceedingly difficult for anyone to bear. Check your directions!
