Such a sad sight?

ltpic9No matter how good your feng shui, we all experience what I like to call “life” issues and problems from time to time. After all, we are responsible for ourselves and there’s really no accounting for the actions of others- in the workplace or at a social event …even at the shopping mall or grocery store.

Since we are all ultimately only responsible for our OWN actions and reactions we have the ability to live a happy life – if we choose to. That might sound rather simplistic…but think about it. You can control what you think about…and as the saying goes – “we become what we think about most of the time”. When we let the words or actions of others infiltrate our thoughts and we react negatively to them as a result, in essence we are giving up control of our most precious possession – our mind!

So the choice is up to you…and in the ezine this week I touch on learning how to bend with grace like a blade of grass rather than adopting an inflexible attitude that in the end may defeat you. Nature gives us a lot of lessons if we just open our eyes! Adopt a strategy of non-confrontation, watch how you are reacting and be aware of the pattern of your thoughts. Don’t lose your mind, ok? It’s way too wonderful, precious and powerful…and you are totally in charge of what happens to it!

ltgardenfengshuiGood garden feng shui is very important. Gardens are where growth energy gets created and nurtured. People often renovate and upgrade the inside of their homes, but sometimes fail to take care of their garden or yard outside…and then wonder why their feng shui is not better.

When your garden is unkempt and overgrown it can destroy the existing good feng shui of your home.

If you want good garden feng shui, you must spend time creating the right mix of plants and flowers for your garden. For example, a low bushy plant at the front in full view of the main door symbolizes the crimson phoenix, which brings golden opportunities.

Tip! Choose a plant that is free flowering and has red flowers. A splash of red colour at the front brings excellent prospects for the residents of the home.

Plants represent the most positive attributes of the growing wood element and it is the only element amongst all of the five elements of earth, water, fire, metal and wood that has life! Plants also manifest the balance of yin and yang in your garden, responding to the mix of sunlight and shade, water and nutrients from the soil.

The Chinese appreciate every part of the plant…the leaves, flowers and fruit as well as the plant’s shape and silhouette. They bestow particular cultural attributes on the four plants…known as the Four Gentlemen of the Garden. You may want to include one or all of these in your own garden depending on the climate and where you live in the world.

  • LTbambooTreesThe plum, whose blossoms are regarded as pure and superior.
  • The bamboo, which is disciplined and upright.
  • The orchid, which is reclusive and strong in character.
  • The chrysanthemum, which is pure and honest.

In feng shui certain plants are more auspicious than others. Succulent plants with full round leaves and rich dark leaves are deemed to be the most auspicious…symbolizing money and gold.

ltJadePlantA good example is the jade plant, which attracts money and prosperity.

Here are a few more ideas to help you create good garden feng shui:

  • Select plants and flowers wisely, according to the soil type, sunlight and climatic conditions of the garden.
  • Never allow plants to grow wild or unchecked.
  • Don’t allow weeds to choke the flowerbeds and always clear up leaves and other garden debris.
  • If a plant is dying it’s better to get rid of it rather than trying to nurse it back to health. Dying and dead plants in the garden create a lot of harmful chi, which can seep into your house causing a lot of bad luck.
  • Always remember that a garden planted with an abundance of healthy plants and flowers is the best indication that a house is enjoying good feng shui. It reflects the presence of healthy yang energy, which is synonymous with prosperous, happy and vibrant chi.

Happy gardening,
Lillian

LTFallenTreeAs I was walking the other day, I saw a tall majestic-looking tree uprooted and humbled by the severity of an unexpected storm. It was a sad sight to see…this once proud, noble tree laying clumsily across the pavement…only the street crews seemed to have any interest as they readied it for removal.

Yet all around the base of the tree, tiny blades of grass that were able to bend with the changing wind had survived the stormy weather.

Such a sad sight…it made me think how the very strength and pride of the tree had made it inflexible and thus vulnerable to the fierce wind and rain…while the humble and lowly grass seemed so much better equipped to survive the howling winds and rainstorms.

Perhaps we should be more like the grass, and bend gracefully rather than stand inflexible in the face of difficult times. When things get rough, don’t let your pride make matters worse. Change your mental attitude toward the things that are going wrong in your life. Sometimes just looking at things from another perspective will provide you with different solutions.

There’s a lot to be said for taking the path of least resistance…and adopting a strategy of non-confrontation. When you see a conflict brewing or an argument getting out of hand…transform it by choosing your response thoughtfully. Be careful how you say things and how you phrase your opinions. As the saying goes… sometimes it’s better to be kind than to be right.

Learn to give in. Learn to compromise. Learn to walk away. Only those who survive have the opportunity to bounce back when things get better.

Bend gracefully today.

Avoid Triangular Shaped Flower Beds

The triangle is the shape of fire, which clashes with the wood energy of plants. Also triangles have points that can be harmful and possess hidden afflictions. When pointing to the main door, they can cause misfortune to manifest.

LTSunshineBathGive Yourself A Sunshine Bath

Give yourself a sunshine bath this morning. Go into the yard before the sunlight has become excessively strong and allow it to nurture you. Open your mind, body and spirit to the cleansing energy of the sun’s power as your pores soak up this wonderful warm and life-giving energy. Try to bring light and love in the lives of all your loved ones.

Until next week,

Many people ask me

ltpic9Do you know how to read your own Paht Chee chart?

Many people ask me if it’s necessary to learn Paht Chee if they have already studied feng shui with me. I always recommend adding this skill because knowing how to read your own chart and the charts of your clients, family and friends really provides a fabulous life tool with invaluable advice on timing…and personal decision making. As the saying goes…timing is everything.

May I share something with you?

Most of my students who have studied with me online or in Malaysia learn enough Paht Chee in a very short time to undertake excellent comprehensive readings for themselves and others. In fact, many of my students have even turned pro and there are, amongst my students, a few who have now become so good that they successfully advise big politicians and business men…helping them to maintain their success! You simply need to know the best times to make specific decisions regarding your success potential and your future.

In the ezine this week I’ve included a short article about Unlocking The Secrets of Your Birth Chart, which I know you will find interesting. In fact, did you know that you can go to my website http://www.wofs.com and download your own personal paht chee chart right now? Just go to the home page, upper right corner and click the “4 Pillars Calculator”. Once you enter the appropriate information you will receive your chart. It’s that easy…and of course it’s FREE.

Have a wonderful week and keep safe!

Unlocking The Secrets Of Your Birth Chart

Does It Really Work?

A lot of people who aren’t familiar with feng shui or paht chee reading have asked me if it’s necessary to have both skills…and I always recommend that you learn both. Why? Because your level of success depends on timing…and having the knowledge of when the good and bad years, months and days will hit makes Paht Chee a fabulous life tool that offers invaluable advice for personal decision-making.

The Chinese Way of Thinking

You see, Chinese philosophy stresses that prevention is always better than cure so my approach to life and living is always focused on preventing bad things from happening…and this is one of the first things you’ll learn when you study feng shui with me. Knowing how to read your paht chee chart gives you ample warning to prevent misfortune…and it is a reliable and popular way of getting significant clues so that you can tap into your veins of good fortune days too.

We Chinese believe that it is only by knowing the benchmarks and milestones in your life as revealed in your birth data that you can be forewarned of obstacles in your life and identify the “lucky” periods too. This is what knowing how to do a Paht Chee reading will give you.

We normally don’t consult feng shui or paht chee experts from a fatalistic viewpoint…but rather the motivation is to discover the ways and means of improving our lives. You can do this too once you know how to read your chart.

It’s A Step-By-Step Process

Once you begin to “unlock the secrets” of your birth chart and check back on years or time periods that have passed, you’ll find that it’s almost uncanny how accurate the reading is…and you’ll wish you had known before what lay ahead. How often have you said…”Oh…if only I had known this in advance!”

LTchart
Above is a sample of what a Paht Chee chart looks like. What is very cool is that you can actually download your own personal chart from my website at www.wofs.com

Exciting News and Opportunity!

Due to popular request I will soon be releasing my updated Paht Chee ONLINE course. In this course you will use your own personal chart (downloaded at www.wofs.com) as I teach you step-by-step how to make a proper analysis. This is such an excellent way to learn…and once you do your own chart you can begin to study the charts of your children, other family members and friends.

As we work through your chart and find the problems that lay ahead I will teach you the remedies to help neutralize and overcome misfortune indications…as well as exactly how to enhance certain elements that will strengthen you. If you’ve studied feng shui with me and know the 5-Element Theory you are a step ahead…because the key is elemental analysis and it all goes back to the theory of the FIVE ELEMENTS.

Sound too confusing? It’s not! Anyone can learn Paht Chee. Your Paht Chee chart is made up of four pillars or columns and each pillar comprises two levels containing two elements that define an important pillar of your date of birth – the year, month, date and hour. We’ll analyze the eight elements superficially and then in great depth…because the deeper you go into the analysis the more secrets about you are revealed. This course is all about analysis…and it’s not difficult.

My Personal Invitation

The Power of the Five Vases

In the practice of feng shui the principles of the five elements is fundamental; its correct application always binging some amazingly positive results; not just in overcoming and exhausting serious afflictions and poison arrows in the environment, but more significantly, when “successfully captured” bring some pretty big benefits. The key to using Element Magic is to endeavor to have ALL five elements present in your living space – it is this that creates the powerful balance that achieves great feng shui!

One potent way to a capture the chi energy of the five elements is to use the VASE. This receptacle which is always used to contain the “nectar of the Gods” is one of the most popular of feng shui symbols. Every room in the palaces of Beijing’s Forbidden City used to have at least a pair of large vase receptacles decorated with incredibly beautiful auspicious images; and every wealthy home of the elite likewise always had Vases on display.

lt5Vases

In 2011 a very high Lama from Sikkim, H.E. Ghurwang Rinpoche whose mother is a princess of Bhutan visited my home. He brought for me a lovely gift of FIVE VASES and explained to me their vast benefits… they were small and suitable for my altar and he stressed that they signified the five elements. Those familiar with Tibetan Buddhist talismans of course understand the BIG significance of the five elements – usually symbolized in their amulets with five colored thread or five colored cloth. This is because it is only when the five elements are present together can their full potential manifest.

I was also told that the larger the vases are, the greater would be their benefits although the size of one’s space must of course not be overwhelmed. To activate the vase it is advisable to fill the white and blue Vases with saffron water, the green with flowers, the red with rice and the yellow with semi precious stones… if this is too much trouble, filling all five vases with saffron water is also beneficial.

Here are the FIVE VASES we brought in, beautifully decorated with auspicious symbols of abundance, longevity and of increase and expansion – depicted in the five colors of earth, metal, water, wood, and fire – yellow, white, blue, green and red. The Vase is in a traditional shape which continues to be popular.

In feng shui the Vase signifies abundance and peace, the two things that make our lives wonderful. The Chinese word for vase is ping which sounds like peace. Having a vase in the living space creates a stable peaceful ambience. If you have an altar display the five vases as offerings to your Buddhas. Other wise place these powerful Vases prominently inside your home and in full view of the main door.

Auspicious Wealth Luck Plants

Plants represent the most positive attributes of the growing wood element – the only element of all the five elements that has life.
Jade plants attract money & prosperity

ltJadePlantIn feng shui certain plants are considered more auspicious than others. Succulent plants with round full leaves and rich dark leaves are deemed to be the wealth attracting plants and symbolize money and gold. Here are a few examples:

The Jade Plant
This plant attracts money and prosperity. Place near the front door in a large pot. Don’t allow it to grow larger than 3 feet. This is a plant of the succulent cactus family so do not overwater.

The Money Plant
This plant also brings wealth and money luck. Place near the main door of your home.

To create a space with good feng shui, the use of plants is absolutely necessary…particularly if you wish to attract wealth luck.
