Now sure, sometimes it’s hard to understand how this all happens because our inner consciousness is indeed invisible and you cant see or touch it – which on another level is something we humans like to do – we like to have proof of everything!

North Sector Feng Shui Reminder

When you activate your North corner properly with good feng shui it enhances career success. An aquarium or small water feature, or a painting of water in the north sector, are all good feng shui enhancers. Be sure you do not hang a painting of a waterfall behind your back as this will cause water to harm you.

You Are Already Very Lucky

Consider for a moment how lucky you really are — to be alive, to be able to make choices and design your own life and destiny. When you understand that you are already very lucky, then you will begin to attract more luck. Use your mind and recognize the power of your thoughts.

Happy New Year as we welcome the Year of the Fire Rooster in just a few days. I don’t know about you, but I feel so much better with this fresh new energy in the air. With Chinese New Year coming early we enjoy the Lap Chun…always a good indication with promise of growth and essence of springtime!

By now you probably have thoroughly cleaned your home and have your feng shui cures in place in preparation for the New Year. If not you had better get to it. Yes, I’ve been harping on this a lot lately and for good reason. I’ve seen too many things happen unexpectedly and tragically to people who do nothing. You see, when harmful energies afflict your main door entry or the rooms that you use a lot, they can be very lethal.

That’s why it is so important that you take the time NOW because you can avoid bad luck and misfortune. You want to do everything possible and take every precaution to protect your family and this year it’s critical to look after the patriarch’s sector (NW) where the #2 illness star has flown and the matriarch’s sector (SW), afflicted by the violent # 7 robbery star.

And it’s not all bad of course! When you place specific cures in good fortune sectors that you wish to enhance you can expect many improvements…some will be subtle and some may surprise you. I think you’ll be amazed and happy with the results of taking care of your space every year and you’ll feel safe knowing you have done everything possible to protect your family and home.

Coping With Competition In 2017

At my 2017 extravaganzas, I reviewed the Paht Chee chart for this year and pointed out that while we have a well-balanced chart with all five elements present, there is a predominance of the water element with three yang water in the main chart. So water is the dominant element this year indicating the presence of many friends (and foes) but even between friends things could get nasty as competitive pressures increase. When we are placed in a competitive situation and must fiercely fight for something – in business, in romantic situations and in our personal lives there are all kinds of feelings and emotions that arise and they are usually not very pleasant.

So consider this fair warning –be ready for some tough competition that could really test you. It may be in business, politics and well, just about any area of daily living! In fact, if you follow American politics at all, look at the backbiting, unfair accusations and gossip…all the fake news surrounding the new American president elect Donald Trump with some even calling his election “illegitimate”.

An effective way to handle competition is to use a feng shui cure based on the 5-element theory. Since it is water that is causing the stress, you can exhaust it by placing wood energy in your space. Use healthy green houseplants in nice pots – these will exhaust the strength of the water element. So when you find yourself faced with tough competition (this is even stronger towards the end of the year) remember this simple cure of adding plants and wood energy!

When you tie the popularity scarf that has been imbued with a special amulet around your neck, it will attract the good vibrations from those in authority and protect you from nasty competitive attacks – it works very well if you are presenting a new deal or interviewing for an upward career move.

Our butterfly pin has a very powerful mantra, which helps you avoid evil and nasty people. While it looks like a beautiful and harmless piece of jewelry, only you know of its secret powers of protection!

Use of all the above cures this year to help you through competitive times, when you are confronted with backstabbing and gossip. Because you know that competition is a given this year, it also means that you will need to work doubly hard to be successful. Success doesn’t come to those who are lazy and without resolve. Buckle down, work hard and use these feng shui tips to your advantage!

King Gesar for Business Luck

If you are running your own business it is an excellent idea to invoke the manifestations of King Gesar, the warrior manifestation of Guru Rinpoche portrayed as the Warrior King on his Windhorse and The Wealth King Gesar sitting on his throne. And it is not just business luck – you should invoke both manifestations into your home as well as office especially this year. I am so happy to tell you that many of my students and friends that have already invited these powerful images into their homes have seen marked improvement in success luck, particularly in their respective business ventures!

For those of you unfamiliar with King Gesar, he is a legendary figure of the Himalayas. You will normally find him riding on his Windhorse, the celestial representation of mankind’s lung ta. Welcoming these images brings new opportunities for growth and expansion as well as a reinforcement of your warrior spirit and strength so it is highly beneficial and recommended.

King Gesar’s Wealth Ritual

Set up an altar with the image of Wealth King Gesar (Dorje Tsegyel) and the five Dralla Generals. Arrange eight offering bowls as an offering containing the following (from left to right): two bowls of water, flower, incense, candle, water, fruit and conch. You can place another plate of food (any kind) as an additional offering and chant the following:

SHHHH…Keep It Quiet

Don’t make the mistake of energizing any of the unlucky sectors of your home. Put the appropriate cures in place and then remember to keep it quiet – no renovations, digging and banging, no loud TV or music and no bright lights! This year it’s important to note the following affected areas – in the SOUTH (5 Yellow), the WEST (hostile 3 star and the Tai Sui). Keep things quiet.

What’s your tolerance level? It’s hard not to lash back when someone pushes your button and annoys or upsets you. It’s even harder when that person knows all your tender spots. The next time this happens, instead of reacting, why not try to “raise” your tolerance level. Take it up a notch and tell yourself that no one and nothing can get to you. Just do and say nothing. The sound of silence is very powerful indeed.

Take time for this

Have just finished my Spiritual Extravaganza here in KL with a wonderful crowd and saw many old friends and students. I am deeply honored that so many came from around the world for this important spiritual event…from the Ukraine, Russia, India, Sri Lanka, America…I just cannot name them all.

We were so lucky to have Khenpo Delek Rinpoche here with us to perform the Bum Tsog puja to Guru Rinpoche. The word bum is Tibetan for 100,000 and tsog means offering- so it translates to mean feast offering. This is a very precious practice that brings enormous spiritual and worldly benefits for everyone and their families for the coming year. As Rinpoche said…this is for all sentient beings because we are all connected. For many attendees it was their first time to experience a puja like this and several came to talk to me personally about how much it meant to them.

It won’t be too much longer before the 2017 Horoscope books will be published and ready for you. Thankfully the coming Year of the Rooster looks to be a good year with the number 1 Victory Star ruling the center of the chart! Your Monthly Feng Shui Updates
Sixth Month on the Bing Shen Fire Monkey Year
July 7 – August 7, 2016

Here’s your monthly flying star chart – the sixth month of the Fire Monkey Year and I urge you to review this and pay attention to these recommendations. This covers the period July 7 – August 7, 2016.

In each of the nine grids you’ll see two numbers. The larger number is the annual star, and the smaller number in the lower right corner is the monthly star that you must also take into account.

The first thing to do is determine where the most important rooms in your house are located. By important I mean rooms that you use frequently…like your bedroom, the kids’ rooms, dining room etc. You may already know this, but if not use a reliable compass and stand in the center of your home to take your directions. It’s always good to do a recheck of your directions. Once you know where each sector is, you can refer to the flying star chart below and take appropriate action. So if your front door, the one everyone uses is located in the north sector then refer to the relevant grid below for the kind of luck that will affect everyone in the household this month. Some people like to make this more complicated than necessary – it’s not really difficult so please take the time to review this monthly.

Which sector will bring you luck?

The WEST is the luckiest sector this month with the prosperity 8 star bringing financial success and wealth luck to the female of the family. Display a water fountain in the west to enhance money luck. If you are a writer or academic you will have a smooth and successful time. Display peonies and mandarin ducks in the west of your bedroom to improve your love luck.

The 1 star visits the SOUTH so there is good financial and career luck for residents of this sector. Enhance the luck here with a water wave symbol and statue of Kwan Kung. If your office is located here, display a Chinese calligraphy set on your desk to enhance creativity and ideas and display a golden arrowana to give your career a boost!

Unlucky sectors?

You must be alert and extremely careful in the NORTHWEST this month as there are high chances of robbery and burglary. This applies to all households as the burglary star has flown into the NW of the house. Keep this sector very quiet and no arguments. Use a still water feature here and carry the anti-burglary protection with you. Display the red robe laughing Buddha to turn bad energy into good energy.

The NORTHEAST is visited by the 9 multiplying star making stress levels soar and you may find that children and females in the home are more short-tempered than usual. Try not to spend too much time in this area and place a golden Mantra Pillar or 9 Spoke Dorje in this area to control the bad chi. Do not leave candles or stoves unattended here due to fire danger. Display a laughing Buddha with ingots for prosperity luck!

It’s important to fine-tune your feng shui every month and take care of the monthly flying stars. Note that the sectors mentioned above are only a few of the sectors. You need to read about all of the sectors to properly update your monthly feng shui. Significant Spiritual Days in July 2016
This comprehensive spiritual calendar marks all the significant and powerful days to chant mantras, perform pujas and conduct powerful rituals that will increase your wealth, success, love and happiness.

This is the double fourth month of the Monkey Year and it is the turning point of the year. Since this is also the Year of Guru Rinpoche, use these days to chant as many Guru Rinpoche mantras as possible. We recommend reciting the 7 Line Prayer to Guru Rinpoche 108 times (page 39 Chant A Mantra – 4th Edition) and read the Sampha Lhundrupma if you have this prayer. Make as many tsog offerings to Guru Rinpoche as possible and take note of all activities to be avoided ( funerals, weddings etc.) indicated on particular calendar days shown.

You’ll also find a chart showing the Vitality Points of Your Body (which are different for men and women) for each day of the month. Performing surgical operations on the joints or organs located at or near these points weakens your life span and vitality considerably so be sure to refer to this table when setting up dates for your medical operations.

A Winding Pathway
Any lane or path leading to your main door should be curved and preferably winding. A straight path that leads directly into your home sends arrows of killing energy or shar chi. Such a path should also not narrow out or in. It is best when the width of the path is constant. Placing lights on the pathway is also auspicious

Decree abundance for yourself and it shall be established for you. Live your life with an open mind and a gentle heart and a determination to enrich your own life and the lives of others. This combined with feng shui practices will astonish you and bring truly amazing results.

Paht Chee and the 12 Zodiac Animals

In order to understand the nuances of reading a Paht Chee chart, you must master your knowledge of the Chinese Astrological Zodiac Wheel, as this will provide the key to unlocking many secrets of your chart!

A skillful Paht Chee reader possesses a solid grasp of how each of the 12 zodiac animal signs interact with each other and is fully aware of all the various special relationships between the twelve signs. Knowing how these relationships bond together to create special chi within a chart is the key to helping you activate chi that is inherent in your destiny! One such relationship is the “Zodiac Allies”

The Zodiac Allies

There are four groups of zodiac allies or affinities, each group comprising three animal signs whose chi always nurtures each other. When all three of these animals in any grouping appear in the earthly branches a paht chee chart it always brings hidden elements to a chart to either strengthen the chart or add a new dimension of analysis in terms of personality or relationships with others. Here they are:

The Competitors: Comprised of the Rat, Dragon and Monkey. Check their position on the Astrological Wheel – 1, 5, 9. They form the Triangle Affinity of Competitors and when these three animals appear in the earthly branches the hidden element of WATER is created.
The Intellectuals: The Ox, Snake and Rooster make up this group. Note their position on the Astrological Wheel – 2, 6,10 each sitting four animals away from each other. They form the Triangle of Intellectuals. When these three animals appear in the earthly branches, the hidden element of METAL is created.
The Independents: These are the Tiger, Horse and the Dog positioned on the Astrological Wheel as 3, 7, 11 and creating the Affinity Triangle of Independents. When these three animals appear in the earthly branches, the hidden element of FIRE is created.
The Diplomats: The Rabbit, Sheep and Boar make up this group. Note their positions on the Astrological Wheel (4,8,12) and also sitting four animals away from each other. Together they make up the Triangle Affinity of Diplomats and when these three animals appear in the earthly branches the hidden element of WOOD is created!
There are many other important zodiac relationships such as “Secret Friends” and “Seasonal Friends” that also combine to create hidden elements.

HUM is a powerful message to bring to mind if you ever feel like you are in danger of if someone is trying to harm you. Just close your eyes and bring this image to mind and then imagine the light radiating outwards around you. This will instantly steady your breathing, calm your fears and keep you safe. To enhance the effect of HUM even further, recite the sound hum, hum, hum, hum hum under your breath. It will instantly blow away anything that is threatening to harm you.

Meditate and Get Divine Help By Visualizing HUM at Your Heart

Here is a 5-minute meditation to activate your inner spirituality using the symbol HUM.

As you meditate focus on the heart and chest area. Place an eight-petalled lotus there with a bright light white above it. The light radiates outward like the sun; then the syllable “HUM” slowly appears. It is blue in colour and it is glowing with a radiance that is almost blinding in intensity. It sits on top of the lotus and it transforms the white light into the brightest blue light. As the bright blue Hum stabilizes inside your mind, you meditation will also stabilize. Stay with this meditation image for a few minutes and then imagine the blue light transforming into white light before eventually fading. This is a five minute meditation to get you used to seeing the white light, the sacred syllable HUM, the blue light and then back to the white light again seeing all this with your mind.

Practice this visualization once a day either in the early morning when you waken or at night before going to bed. With practice will come many wonderful experiences. In the beginning you are sure to get distracted, but each time the mind wanders away from the white light or the eight-petalled lotus or the HUM symbol, open your eyes and look at the image again.

You will find that this is an easy visualization and that it is very calming. In no time at all you will be able to hold the image and begin to access your own inner spirituality. You may want to make a note in your journal of your experiences if you feel this would be helpful.

Change it up!

If you’ve been having a tough time at work lately and things aren’t going as well as you’d like…why not change the energies around your desk or work area? Check your kua number to ensure you are facing your best directions; check for poison arrows that may have come about since you last checked for them and apply the appropriate element solution. Be sure to enhance the chi of your desktop with the cures and enhancers required.

Focus on nourishing your chi; when the outer chi is taken care of, your overall environment is healthy; when your inner chi is properly cared for, you are healthier. Both are important.

Are you superstitious?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Did you make it to Singapore? The Extravaganza was really a special event especially as I have not yet recovered from my stroke and my frozen shoulder… so it was a bit of a challenge being on my feet for over 5 hours … but the audience was incredible! I felt their love and their concern … and it was a much larger audience this time. Everyone was sending me so much healing energy. I felt very happy just sharing all the news about 2016 with them all and meeting up with so many old friends from around the world.

The coming year of the fire monkey is a BLACK year dominated by the Black star 2 which is also known as the “Greedy wolf” so its a challenging year indeed. The Paht chee chart of the year is quite difficult so at the Extravaganza this year I also go into the Pillars of luck for each of the 12 months and the four seasons…The Feng Shui chart is also complicated so it was necessary to explain about the Trinity of Whites and the Alignment of Earth Axis also found in the chart.

What is truly promising about 2016 however are the “stars” of the 24 mountains that suggest some extremely promising good astrology for the animal signs.

I will be speaking again in Kuala Lumpur this Sunday, January 10th where I hope to also have a small pre 70th birthday celebration with those coming to attend the event! It should be more than fun… and I am so looking forward to welcoming everyone to the event.

12th Month of the Yi Wei Wood Sheep Year
(January 6 – February 3, 2016)

Here’s your monthly flying star chart and I urge you to review this and pay attention to these recommendations. This covers the period January 6 – February 3, 2016.

In each of the nine grids you’ll see two numbers. The larger number is the annual star, which you probably are already familiar with, and the smaller number in the lower right corner is the monthly star.

The first thing to do is determine where the most important rooms in your house are located. By important I mean rooms that you use frequently…like your bedroom, the kids’ rooms, dining room etc. You may already know this, but if not use a reliable compass and stand in the center of your home to take your directions. Once you know where each sector is, you can refer to the flying star chart below and take appropriate action. So if your front door, the one everyone uses is located in the north sector then refer to the relevant grid below for the kind of luck that will affect everyone in the household this month.

Which sector will bring you luck?

In the NORTH the year 8 star combines with the month star 8 making this sector so auspicious and bringing serious wealth and money luck to residents of this sector and of houses with main doors facing north. This is a good time to invest in real estate. Spend more time here and energize this wealth bringing sector by displaying the White Dzambhala plaque and wealth ships filled with ingots, faux jewels and gold bars.

The double 1 in the EAST brings good career and income luck. If you are in research and development expect breakthroughs and place a water feature here for wealth luck. Place a mountain painting behind your desk for support in negotiations and to boost career luck and also a sacred Ru Yi here to control propensity to vice.

Unlucky sectors?

The WEST is extremely unlucky as the monthly 5 yellow combines with the annual 5 yellow to form a dangerous combination that could even be life threatening to female members of the family. Carry the Heart Sutra Keychain Amulet and keep one under your pillow if your bedroom is located here. Display two Golden Mantra Pillars here to exhaust the afflicted earth energies or display a Bejewelled Dorje to overcome these unlucky stars. Peacock feathers in the car are also a good idea for protection.

The SOUTH is visited by the monthly 7 star and this combination of two violent stars is doubly dangerous and potent. They portend fighting, violence, robbery and even death especially affecting the male. If your bedroom is in the south or your house faces south don’t overwork yourself and be careful with metal objects. Place the Anti-Burglary Totem here. Place a pair of rhinos flanking your main entrance if it is located in the south.

I’ve just returned from Singapore after an amazing weekend! My Spiritual Feng Shui event was a huge success…attended by well over one thousand people eager to learn about the Goddess Tara and the 9 Tara Mandala…and wow…I was blown away by the reception from such a great audience. Those who attended learned how to invoke the cosmic energies of the 9 Tara Mandala to enhance and protect themselves and their families in their everyday lives and living spaces. This is such a powerful practice and I was thrilled to able to share some of the goddess secrets of feng shui with so many of you.

During the afternoon session we were graced by the presence of Khenpo Delek Rinpoche who conducted the Tara Puja and was kind enough to shower us all with so many blessings!

Quick Fix Tip – Entryways & Hallways

Let’s face it. It’s not easy to keep hallways and entries clear of clutter. However, you can guard against this problem but removing small tables or cabinets from this area. Make sure there are no convenient tabletops to put things on. By doing this small “fix” you’ll be helping your halls and entryways (which are vital conduits of energy) to stay clean and clear. Having a bright, uncluttered hallway is the best way to bring beneficial cosmic energy into your home.

If your bedroom is in the East, be sure to put a Blue Rhino here for protection. No wind chimes here or other metal instruments and expect cutthroat competition at work. You can use a Victory Horse to overcome this.

Check For Number Combinations That Bring Abundance

The 1,6 and 8 combinations in the feng shui charts always bring good fortune, abundance and a pleasant and harmonious time during the year. Any two number combinations of these three white numbers are auspicious. You can also check the monthly chart for other auspicious combinations such as:

The 6 and 9 in combination enhance speculative luck
The numbers 1 and 4 bring the luck of good growth energy
The numbers 8 and 9 are excellent signifying present and future prosperity
All sum of ten numbers are auspicious (1+9, 2+8,and so forth)
All pattern strings especially – the three numbered combinations of 1,4,7, then 3,6,9, and 2,5,8 are excellent

Don’t be so rigid when planning your calendar. Allow for unexpected opportunities to come along. Don’t hesitate to rearrange your calendar to accommodate them. Being rigid could cause you to miss out on a significant event that might change your life forever!

The SOUTHWEST is also an excellent sector and the stars here bring the kind of good fortune that aids in your career advancement as well as wealth luck. Place a water feature with a golden dragon to attract wealth luck and a Dragon Tortoise to activate career luck.

Although the SOUTH is plagued with the 7 star this year, the auspicious monthly wealth start 8 brings money luck to houses and businesses facing SOUTH. Be sure to activate this area with a water feature as it brings monetary gain.

Unlucky Sectors

SOUTHEAST – Watch for problems in the SE caused by clashing elements here bringing gossip, arguments and disagreements that could lead to legal entanglements. Remedy this with a 7 Royal Emblem Plaque and keep the noise and activity level down.

NORTHEAST – The violent star makes an appearance so this sector has an excess of metal energy bringing danger of robbery and violence. Display the ani-burglary totem and place an urn of yin water in this area. Try not to quarrel or cause dissention within the family or with your partner. Keep the lights on as fire will exhaust the strength of metal energy.

Tie these coins on the inside of your entry door

Hang three coins (the kind with the square hole in the center) tied together with red string on your door handle to activate the yang energy and good fortune symbolized by the coins. Hang them on the inside of your doors, meaning the good luck is already inside your home. Please don’t hang coins or feng shui energizers on your back door. In feng shui the back door represents how you leave your home so keep your focus on the main doors of entry.

Caught up in the hectic rush of business and home life? Slow down your pace and don’t rush today. Make it a point to stop and help someone -even a stranger. Try to make someone else happy. Share your time with a friend or relative. Do something every day to make your life (and those you help) more meaningful. Put aside your own time demands to help others and you’ll find your hectic life becoming more peaceful!

Well you all know that I love teaching…so I’m busy getting things ready for our newly revamped Master Practitioner’s Course in Feng Shui that will take place next week here in KL – Sept 22 – 27th. This level one course is totally suitable for beginners and gives an excellent foundation in the fundamentals of applying the knowledge of classical space feng shui in modern structures and homes. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you who have enrolled and sharing some of the lesser-known secret formulas with you next week!

Following the above class, the next MPC class available is much more advanced and it will be held from 13th to 18th of October, 2014, also here in KL. This was formerly called the Master Consultants Course but has now been revised to include new advanced formulas. It is tailored to those of you who wish to develop a fuller understanding of compass formula feng shui and for those who plan to pursue a career in feng shui consultancy. Some of the topics covered in this course include Water Dragon for Interiors and Gardens, Secrets of the I-Ching Trigrams in Time Feng Shui Consultations, Advanced Flying Star & Castle Gate Prosperity Doors and The 12 Phases of Sarn He Water Movement just to mention a few of them. This Horse year has been very fierce to date and continues to be that way. The good news for the coming Sheep year is that the Paht Chee chart is well balanced and it will not be as fierce as this year. The Millionaire Mindset – Give Yourself Permission First

The Inside Secret of Luck

What’s luck anyway? Often these days we tend to associate “good luck” with great financial reward…or having something we’ve dreamed about come true like landing a great job or having an amazing person suddenly appear in our life and we say to ourselves…”How could I be so lucky!” or alternatively when things don’t go so well …”Why am I always so unlucky?”

In these uncertain economic times, as we continue to be bombarded with bad news and disaster in the media, we tend to focus more on the negative… on our problems and what might happen to us. And doing this could make matters even worse.

Why? Because we may miss what is right in front of us, and never stop to consider what I call the “everyday miracles”, the “ordinary miracles” in our lives. You see, most of us don’t realize that we already possess a great deal of luck and believe me…it does wonders for the psyche when you stop to consider what you already have to be grateful for…all of the little things that make us so very lucky indeed.
Rather than look at our lives in terms of our misfortune and troubles, it is far more beneficial to look at things from the positive side. I always try to do this, and once you start to turn inward you’ll become conscious of all the good luck you already possess. Amazing things will happen…and things will begin to shift for you.

Herein lies and important secret…

Well…it’s easy for you to say Lillian…(you might be thinking)…you seem to have everything…a wonderful family, a career, fame and fortune. But it wasn’t always so easy for me either.

It’s a big job to clear our minds of negativity, especially of things that may have been planted and reinforced since we were very young. But it can be done if we are willing to shift our mental approach and begin the journey. Even this will take a lot of effort but the reward is well worth it.

Do yourself a favor and go a little deeper this week. Look for all the hidden luck in your life that may have gone unnoticed…I think you will be surprised at what you discover. Recognize and appreciate those “ordinary miracles” that are already abundantly present in your life.

Annual Updates and Yearly Afflictions

Updating your feng shui each year should become not only a living skill but also a habit. Your feng shui is really incomplete unless you investigate the time dimension – how the New Year’s annual chart affects your feng shui. You should especially take note of the afflictions of the year; determine if they affect your important rooms, entrances and living areas and you should then put the proper feng shui cures in place.

Make Yourself Feel Good

Are you an optimist? If you feel good about your life and the things around you, it reflects an inner optimism that is really empowering. Try today to look consciously at an old routine or issue in a new way. Remember…feeling optimistic is all about making yourself feel good and you do have the power to change your reaction to whatever circumstance arises. You already have that power, so why not use it?

Wow – it’s almost August. Where has the summer gone? This week I’d like to suggest that you think about how you are spending your time. It is truly such a precious commodity. The hours pass so quickly by each day and before long the months have passed and another year is over.

It seems like just yesterday I was sitting down to write the annual astrology books for the Year of the Wood Horse…and now the Year of the Sheep is almost here. In fact we have now finished the 2015 books and they have gone to print – soon to be available to you. We spend a lot of time on the content of these little books and this year is no different, so I hope you will get your copies early.

I always think of time as a valuable resource and treat it as such. When I plan my time and stick to my objectives, I find that I can accomplish so much more! Speaking of time management…this week’s In Sync article is about backstabbing and gossip in the office and what to do. This kind of useless activity is really is a waste of time. Remember that saying – time is money? If you think of your time as a valuable resource, as valuable as money – then why would you waste it on silly things like this?

Is Politicking & Backstabbing Becoming Unbearable?
Here’s What You Can Do!

Gossip is a waste of time
We’ve all been in situations where politicking and backstabbing can be unbearable. Experiencing this kind of unpleasantness in the office is difficult but there are some special things that you can do to alleviate the problem. This year the quarrelsome green star # 3 is particularly strong – it has flown into the SE causing misunderstanding, court cases and hostility.

Get a Very Fierce Rooster with a sharp beak and strong talons to claw and peck away the hostile and quarrelsome energy. You can place this on your desk or in a prominent position in the office. Honestly nothing beats this age-old remedy.

Be Sure to Check Your Facing Direction according to your kua number. If you don’t know your kua number just go to www.wofs.com and you’ll find it in the upper right corner of the home screen. Try to face your Nien Yen (love and relationship) direction when you sit at your desk, sleep in your bed at night etc.

Check for Poison Arrows and Beams: Are you sitting directly under a beam and are there any poison arrows coming your way? Don’t forget to check for corners, and bookcases that may be behind you – shelving is dangerous when symbolically it cuts into your back. Move your desk or bed if necessary.

Check your Southeast – this is where the quarrelsome 3 star is located this year. If your bedroom, main door or office is located in this sector then place the appropriate cures -the 3-legged Bird with Sun Mirror, Flaming Sword, Fire wheel or red glitter lamps are all suitable and very good.

Enhance Your North Sector – this is the career sector, which you may want to strengthen with the 9-Ringed Dragon Sword!

Take the High Road – I know when things get very nasty this is sometimes hard to do, but taking the high road is always best and you will have nothing to regret later on. If you involve yourself directly in the petty backstabbing and gossip you are no better than the instigator. Ignore, ignore, ignore. In fact, try being kind and nice to those that are against you – you’ll be amazed at what happens.

Work Hard and Demonstrate Your Talents! True talent always shines through. Your boss didn’t get to the management level without some inherent intelligence and the ability to see who has the real talent. Put your nose to the grindstone and focus on getting your work done on time and to the best of your ability. In fact, why not show up early once in a while and always go the extra mile. Believe me these things do not go unnoticed. You will, in time, be rewarded both monetarily and with promotion and the right kind of recognition.

Remember – your feng shui works best when done with good intention. Extricate yourself from the troublemakers and gossipmongers. You’ll be fine!

The Purity of the Lotus

The lotus represents perfect and pure love
Nothing symbolizes purity and perfection more than the lotus. It also has spiritual and religious connotations…it’s petals are said to symbolize the doctrine of Buddha’s teachings. There is great love and reverence for the lotus flower in the east due to the importance of this symbol in many of the Buddhist traditions. And we often see that Buddha himself is depicted sitting on a sacred lotus with straight back and folded limbs in front…called the lotus posture.

This is a posture assumed by Buddhist monks and holy masters when they meditate and teach the sutras. Many Dharma students also sit lotus position when attending teachings or meditating. Even if it is difficult for you and you feel pain or cramping it’s good to practice as this position is very conducive to quieting the body thereby aiding in meditation and keeping your back straight helps with chi flow in the body.

Om Mani Padme Hum is also known as the lotus mantra…the mantra of the Compassionate Buddha and reciting it many times is said to bring a shower of blessings. Since the Chinese manifestation of the Compassionate Buddha is the Goddess of Mercy Kuan Yin, this is therefore the Kuan Yin mantra. In India the Compassionate Buddha is known as Avilokiteshvara while in Tibet as Chenresig.

In feng shui the lotus is believed to symbolize the purity of love. For those of you who believe in and desire “old-fashioned” love with marriage and a good family life… I suggest you incorporate the lotus symbol – either the real plant or flower or artificial decoration into your surroundings to nurture a true feeling of peace and contentment.
