Happy Sakadawa!

LTpic11Have you read the May issue of Feng Shui World Magazine yet? Wow…. don’t miss this one! It’s chock a block full of stories and things that will be of interest to you…especially my own story about yin spirit formation! Even the most experienced feng shui masters and practitioners sometimes fail to notice certain developments in our homes. Well just read the article and you’ll understand what I mean.

This month is very special for Tibetan Buddhists as this is when the festival of Sakadawa begins. This is perhaps the most sacred of all Buddhist holidays as we celebrate the birth, life and parinirvana of Shakyamuni Buddha. It always takes place in the fourth month of the Tibetan calendar, which this year begins on May 6 and ends on June 5th.

You should know that any good deeds that you perform during this time are multiplied 100 million times!!! So why not make a point of performing very positive and charitable acts and refrain from negative speech and thought? It’s also wonderful to pray and recite sutras, make prostrations at holy sites and even make a pilgrimage to a holy place if you can during this time.

Happy Sakadawa!

Sending you love from KL,

Your Monthly Feng Shui Updates

Fourth Month on the Bing Shen Fire Monkey Year
May 6 – June 5, 2016

Here’s your monthly flying star chart – the fourth month of the Fire Monkey Year and I urge you to review this and pay attention to these recommendations. This covers the period May 6 – June 5, 2016.

In each of the nine grids you’ll see two numbers. The larger number is the annual star, and the smaller number in the lower right corner is the monthly star that you must also take into account.

The first thing to do is determine where the most important rooms in your house are located. By important I mean rooms that you use frequently…like your bedroom, the kids’ rooms, dining room etc. You may already know this, but if not use a reliable compass and stand in the center of your home to take your directions. It’s always good to do a recheck of your directions. Once you know where each sector is, you can refer to the flying star chart below and take appropriate action. So if your front door, the one everyone uses is located in the north sector then refer to the relevant grid below for the kind of luck that will affect everyone in the household this month. Some people like to make this more complicated than necessary – it’s not really difficult so please take the time to review this monthly.

Which sector will bring you luck?

The WEST (4/1) should be energized this month with the dragon carp as this sector is particularly beneficial for academic attainments and creativity. It also brings good luck recognition to young daughters and those preparing for examinations will benefit greatly. Place a 7-level pagoda to boost examination luck and if you are looking for love display a pair of Mandarin Ducks to attract love into your life. No water should be placed in the west this month.

The CENTER (2/8) with the Sum of Ten combination brings money rolling in for a few good weeks! Look for financial gains in yields from properties and financial assets. Hang the White Dzambhala Plaque to capture the prosperity chi here and help bring more opportunities to you. Illness spells are minor but it cant hurt to display the Garuda Wu Lou or 6 Gold Cons tied with a gold ribbon in the center of your home.

Unlucky sectors?

The NORTHEAST is plagued with particularly bad energy this month bringng misfortune and that can be quite serious. Place a bejeweled Garuda by your bedside if you sleep in this sector and see a doctor if you fall ill. Don’t take any chances. Bad business decisions could result in loss of fortune so move to another room if you can. No open fires as this could result in accidents. Use metal energy to press down on the bad luck!

The SOUTHWEST receives a visit by the 5 yellow this month so it’s best to postpone your business decisions or signing of contracts if you reside here or your main entrance is here. The 5 star affects the stomach and can cause problems with joints and bones. Display the Golden Mantra pillar here and a Golden Wu Lou next to your bed if your bedroom is in the Southwest.

It’s important to fine-tune your feng shui every month and take care of the monthly flying stars. Note that the sectors mentioned above are only a few of the sectors. You need to read about all of the sectors to properly update your monthly feng shui. You’ll find these monthly charts in Feng Shui World Magazine, so if you’re not already a subscriber I suggest you sign on! It’s quick and easy and always available when you choose the online version…but printed copies are of course available as well!

Significant Spiritual Days in May 2016

This comprehensive spiritual calendar marks all the significant and powerful days to chant mantras, perform pujas and conduct powerful rituals that will increase your wealth, success, love and happiness.

The month of May is very special as the Sakadawa festival begins. We celebrate the birth, life and parinirvana of Shakyamuni Buddha. The first fifteen days of the month are merit-multiplying days so be sure to chant mantras, recite sutras and perform generous deeds of charity. Focus on singing Shakyamuni Buddha’s praises and mantras. Since karmic results are multiplied 100 million times, please be very mindful and refrain from negative speech, thoughts and actions.

You’ll also find a chart showing the Vitality Points of Your Body (which are different for men and women) for each day of the month. Performing surgical operations on the joints or organs located at or near these points weakens your life span and vitality considerably so be sure to refer to this table when setting up dates for your medical operations.

ltpic10Grand Master Lillian Too is undoubtedly the world’s most prolific and popular writer and advocate on living with good feng shui! She has written over 100 books that have been translated into 31 different languages, and over 10 million copies of her books have been sold worldwide.

After graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Lillian went on to pursue a highly successful business career in banking and finance in the 1980’s in Hong Kong. Her business acumen, drive and abundant energy soon led her from the finance world to the world of luxury department stores and boutiques where, through a leveraged buy out, she became Chairman and shareholder of The Dragon Seed Group.

All the while she was guided and taught by her feng shui masters in Hong Kong and China – and she attributes much of her monumental and quick rise to success in Hong Kong directly to them.

Lillian soon decided to retire from active corporate life and return to Malaysia to raise her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, and spend more time with her family. It was at this time she began to devote her energy to writing and furthering her study of feng shui.

She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.

She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.

In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! There seems to be no stopping her popularity and these days!

Lillian believes everyone should know her secrets and learn how to adapt feng shui to modern life… and she warmly welcomes you into her Mandala.

Nurture Your Southwest

There’s no better time than this year to enhance this sector of your living space! Use earth energy like crystals or earthen materials such as granite, porcelain or stone to attract wonderful relationships into your life. Don’t forget to energize the indirect spirit of the period of 8 by placing a water feature (or two!) in the Southwest. Nurture the matriarchal energy here in a big way in 2016.

The Power of Secrecy

Never reveal your hidden strengths or weaknesses early in a relationship, be it personal or business related. Learn the importance of keeping up appearances when necessary and being tight-lipped. There is a certain power that comes from being secretive!
