Happy New Year! Tashi Dalek! I want to start today by wishing you much happiness and prosperity and especially good health in the New Year. I’ve just returned from a quick trip to Taiwan where I spent time with my wonderful lama Delek Rinpoche and now I’m home in time for New Year celebrations. It was an amazing trip. I was able to do some hydrotherapy on my shoulder – will write more about the trip later.
Good health is so important as we all know and I’ll just remind you again about the 2 star…the “Greedy Wolf” being in the center of the chart this year. Please do put the proper cures in place – the powerful and sacred Medicine Buddha Stupa, the jeweled Garuda and of course the traditional Taoist feng shui remedy – the Wu Lou. All in the center of your home and please place the stupa on your altar in an elevated position.
This year Losar, the Tibetan New Year celebration coincides with the Chinese New Year and also began on February 8th. I hope you enjoy the article in the Spiritual section today with the recommendations for prayers for the 15 Day of Miracles! These are wonderful prayers and so important as we begin the New Year.
Enjoy your holidays!
How You Can Use Feng Shui For Love Luck
Did you know that using feng shui really works if you want to increase your romance and love luck and attract the partner of your dreams? Honestly there are so many ways that you can improve your love luck – there are very specific things you can do to your living space, how you sleep, sit and dress as well as using incredibly powerful spiritual feng shui methods.
To the Chinese, the Lunar New Year is always associated with auspicious rites and rituals to advance the marital status of the next generation. So it’s always a good idea for families with eligible sons and daughters to observe at least the most important of these recommendations to ensure that the “hie see” or happy occasions when they do occur will be auspicious for the entire family!
For example…during the time of the New Year your house should be brightly decorated with lights and lanterns – this indicates that there are eligible young ladies in the family! The red lanterns signify the presence of good fortune luck for girls who are looking to find suitors.
Another tip is to energize the Southwest since this is the aspirational love corner of every home. Make sure it is well energized with lights and this year the SW is home to the auspicious 8 star indicating prosperity success and good fortune. I cannot stress the importance of bringing your Southwest to life during Chinese New Year as this not only works for love but also benefits the whole family!
And did you know that lighting candles at the main door welcomes marriage chi into the home? The candles should be kept lit throughout the fifteen days of New Year! If they burn out replace immediately and of course red is the very best colour to use.
Next I must mention the Double Happiness symbol… so for those of you looking for marriage luck please include the Double Happiness calligraphy in addition to other display of good fortune phrases. It can be painted on lanterns, or simply hung up around the home!
About a year ago I released my book “More Than 100 Ways To Improve Your Love Luck” and this has proved a tremendously popular book. And it’s no wonder! I’ve written books on Feng Shui and Love before…but this one is really very special. This time I included so many spiritual feng shui methods that are sure to help you. And I need to point out that this book is not just about “attracting” love or a new partner…but I also give you many tips for keeping your love life fresh and your partner always with you. You can use feng shui astrology to keep your family happy and together and safeguard against infidelities in your marriage.
I’ve used feng shui to enhance my love life for so many years and there continues to be good energy surrounding my marriage (I’ve been married to the same man for almost 50 years!) I’m happy now to be able to share many of my secrets with you!
Sending love and luck to you all.
In this month’s issue of Feng Shui World Magazine, my neice Hanni has written an excellent article about “Losar” which is the Tibetan New Year and how it is celebrated as a wonderful spiritual festival known as Chotrul Duchen – the 15 Days of Miracles. Please be sure to get a copy of the magazine this month and read this article (pages 65-67) for the meaning of each of the 15 Days of Miracles and the prayers and pujas to celebrate each of these special days. This year Losar coincides with the days of the Chinese New Year and began on February 8th, 2016.
For example, today is the 3rd Day of Miracles…”The Magical Lotus Lake.”
At King Shun Tsin’s Kingdom, Buddha manifested a great lake, which is extended for 300km. The water was clear with eight flavours. The bottom of the lake was filled with seven kinds of precious jewels. Lotuses of all colours appeared on the lake, with its fragrance filling the air for miles. Light radiated from the lotuses in all directions, which could be seen from faraway lands. Additional Advice: Recite the Golden Light Sutra Page 184.
From the 8th – 22nd of February, make lavish fruit and food offerings and recite the following prayers to the Buddhas. All prayers can be found in the Chant A Mantra (Fourth Edition Printing).
- Refuge Prayer (pg. 14)
- Four Great Motivations (pg. 14)
- Seven Limb Prayer (pg. 14)
- Praise to Shakyamuni Buddha (pg. 31)
- Mantra of Shakyamuni Buddha – one mala (pg. 29)
- Guru Rinpoche 7 Line Prayer and mantra (pg. 39)
- Confession to the 35 Buddhas (pg. 57)
- Mantra noted in the “additional advice” after each Miracle.
These first 15 days celebrate Buddha’s miraculous deeds such as the one described above and these are powerful days to say prayers and perform wish-fulfilling rituals. All the spiritual merit arising from your prayers and good deeds done on these 15 days are multiplied 100 million times! Doing these prayers during the 15 days of Losar will have an extremely positive influence on your life in the upcoming year!
Grand Master Lillian Too is undoubtedly the world’s most prolific and popular writer and advocate on living with good feng shui! She has written over 100 books that have been translated into 31 different languages, and over 10 million copies of her books have been sold worldwide.
After graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Lillian went on to pursue a highly successful business career in banking and finance in the 1980’s in Hong Kong. Her business acumen, drive and abundant energy soon led her from the finance world to the world of luxury department stores and boutiques where, through a leveraged buy out, she became Chairman and shareholder of The Dragon Seed Group.
All the while she was guided and taught by her feng shui masters in Hong Kong and China – and she attributes much of her monumental and quick rise to success in Hong Kong directly to them.
Lillian soon decided to retire from active corporate life and return to Malaysia to raise her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, and spend more time with her family. It was at this time she began to devote her energy to writing and furthering her study of feng shui.
She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.
She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.
In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! There seems to be no stopping her popularity and these days!
Lillian believes everyone should know her secrets and learn how to adapt feng shui to modern life… and she warmly welcomes you into her Mandala.

Welcoming Prosperity This Year
Installing powerful symbols of prosperity in your home and office at the beginning of a new year is a wonderful way to invite new wealth! Do this with a prosperity ship sailing in from the Southwest direction filled with plenty of auspicious goodies like ingots, precious stones and jewels and anything else that you are wishing for.
Make the First Move!
Sometimes you have to make the first move. Don’t hesitate! So many people miss out on happiness because they hesitated and missed that moment when they could have reached out and spoken to someone…or asked someone to go for a coffee.
Don’t let your shyness get in the way – you’re probably only afraid of being rejected.
And if you are rejected don’t worry about it – it happens to all of us. Ultimately you’ll forget about it and it’s of no consequence in the larger scheme of things. If you see someone that you’d like to talk to or meet just go for it! Make the first move!
