Well we’re already into the third week of January and it will soon be time to celebrate Chinese New Year, which this year falls on February 8th. Many of you are already familiar with the difference between the solar and lunar calendars, but for those of you who are new to feng shui what this means is we are missing the spring or “Lapchun” this year…since the date of Chinese New Year falls after the 4th of February. I’ve given you some information about it below in the “Feng Shui Flash” this week.
Can you believe I’ve already started work on the 2017 horoscope books? There is so much research that goes into these little gems…it takes a long time especially since the material differs for each of the twelve animal signs. Sure…some of the information pertains to all the horoscope signs but we go into great detail for each sign. If you have not already purchased your animal sign horoscope book for the coming year I urge you to do so…there are many explanations, tips and cures for the Black Year ahead…as well as how you can enhance your good fortune. I’ve included some information in this week’s article but it’s only the tip of the iceberg…so be sure to get your copies soon.
If you missed my extravaganzas in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur earlier this month you can still get all the relevant information from the videos that we will be releasing for sale this week. Be on the lookout for an email from me.
Have a wonderful week!
Subduing and Protecting Yourself In A Black Year
During my Feng Shui Extravaganzas in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur earlier this month, I went into great detail about what you can do to stay safe and secure in the Year of the Fire Monkey. This information will soon be available in video format for both Extravaganzas and will be released very soon. In the meantime, there are a few important points I covered that you must be aware of.
Protecting Against The Illness Star in 2016
This is a BLACK YEAR with the illness star taking center stage in the annual feng shui chart. You will see a clash of energy and types of illnesses that may hit the heart…as well as a blockage of blood flowing through the body. The lungs will also be affected. You may not be aware of it, but the naga spirits bring all illness and therefore this year you must control them. You should do this by using the Garuda Bird, a powerful celestial protector that can subdue illness and spirit attacks caused by the nagas. In 2016 every house should have the presence of the Garuda to suppress the nasty illness vibrations.
I also remind you of the following:
- No earth element in the center of your home or office – remove all crystals
- No fire energy in the center – remove all red décor including carpets, pillows, decorative accents.
Dim the lights and reduce activity in this sector
- If your bedroom is located in the center of your home and you are pregnant or a senior, it would be best to relocate your sleeping location during this year.
- Another wonderful way to suppress the illness star is to place the Medicine Buddha, known as the healing Buddha in the center of your home as well as the bejeweled Medicine Buddha Stupa.

Subduing the 5 Yellow in 2016
In 2016 the dreaded Five Yellow or Wu Wang flies into the NE sector, home of the OX and the TIGER. It is full of vitality and energy since it’s an earth star flying into an earth sector…and therefore it must be dealt with strongly!
Fortunately we have an appropriate cure which is the Golden Mantra Pagoda made of brass as strong metal energy will weaken the earth element number 5. The six sides of the pillar are decorated with water motifs that bring balance to the year since the chart is missing water this year. Note that on all six sides there are powerful wish-fulfiling mantras that bring protection and overcome obstacles that block your good fortune. And we have included inside each pillar mantras that bring blessing energies into your home. Be sure to get this and place it in the NORTHEAST sector of your home.
Wishing You A Safe and Prosperous New Year!
The Powerful Medicine Buddha
The Medicine Buddha is known as the Healing Buddha who has made a vow to help those who call upon him when ill or injured and to aid those who revere him to live a long and healthy life. Chanting the Medicine Buddha Mantra is incredibly beneficial when praying for someone who is ill, suffering from disease or may be dying. Recite 3 times both sets of mantras then recite one mala of the short version.
Om Namo Bhagavate Bhekhandzye/
Guru Baidruya/Prabha Rajaya/
Arhate Samyaksam Buddhaya
Om Bhekhandzye Bhekhandzye MaHa
Radza Samugate Soha
Chanting the Medicine Buddha Mantra is incredibly beneficial when praying for someone who is ill, suffering from disease or may be dying. If you are the one who is ill chant one mala of the Medicine Buddha’s Mantra (108 times) once in the morning and evening. For someone ill, recite and tape the mantras and play continuously in the room where he/she is resting.
Protecting Against the Illness Star in 2016
In 2016 we need the protection of the Medicine Buddha to suppress the illness star 2 that has flown to the center of the chart. You can also invite the protection of Orgyen Menla, the Lotus Buddha Guru Rinpoche appearing as the Medicine Buddha. He is deep blue in colour like the lapis lazuli and his right hand holds a stalk of precious medicinal herbs. Orgyen Menla has the power to bring amazing healing and to dissolve all varieties of emotional, physical and mental illness.
