Today is Diwali, day the Hindu Festival of Lights celebrated by Hindus throughout the world and especially in India. It is a wonderful day of celebration that Malaysians also celebrate as ours is a country with three major races comprising the Malays who are Muslims, the Chinese who are mainly Buddhists and Taoists and the Indians who are Hindus.. so everyone gets the day off. All of us go visiting each other’s homes bringing gifts of fruits and flowers. It is a time of much goodwill and prayers. So to ALL my Hindu friends, readers and students a very Happy Deepavali day to all of you. I hope you continue to enjoy your celebration and your holiday!
Today is also PROTECTOR DAY when we will be doing special pujas to the Dharma and Root Protectors that ensure that we all stay protected and blessed, avoiding all misfortunes and overcoming all obstacles. Tonight is when I shall be offering Serkyem to the Protectors. This is a combination of five types of beans that come in five colours and are poured over with alcohol such as black beer or, whiskey. This is a very powerfully potent practice. I always dedicate my Protector prayers and pujas, which I do regularly on Protector days, to the safety and wellbeing of all of you who follow me, read my books, subscribe to my Ezine and patronise my website.
This is the best way I can think of to thank you and stay close to you, make a direct connection with you… hopefully then we can one day meet and even if we don’t; nevertheless there is still a connection made that will carry on into future lives. It is a sweet thought worthwhile cherishing… you can check the Protector days from the FSW magazine spiritual calendar updated every month.
Beware Of The Three Killings In the SOUTH in 2016
Every year you’ll find the 3 Killings in one of the four cardinal directions (N, S, E, or W). This year it is located in the SOUTH; so it affects everyone living in the South, middle daughters and those of you who are born in the year of the Horse.
The Three Killings, along with the Natural Disaster Star also located in the South, can cause misfortune and a variety of problems to affect the south sector of the home. Somehow they affect your energy level, causing you to feel stressed out and tired. Mentally they can affect your moods, your mind can play negative tricks on you and you may even say things that you don’t mean!
The three types of losses associated with the Three Killings are: loss of reputation, loss of money and loss of a loved one. The way to avoid this is to suppress with the Three Celestial Guardians as follows:
The Fu Dog: As you all know this is a very popular remedy and was used widely by the imperial family – those of you who have visited the Forbidden City in Beijing will have seen many of them – they guard against loss of your good reputation.
The Pi Yao: this is a strange looking creature – it looks like a Chimera but comes with horns and resembles the snow lion. People of Shanghai love the Pi Yao and it is an excellent guardian for all of us as it protects from loss of wealth and prosperity.
The Chi Lin: It’s a legendary animal that is thought to be a combination of the mythical dragon and the horse. It protects the family and safeguards family from separation of any family members.
NOTE: Never ever sit with your back to the Three Killings. This means you cannot sit facing NORTH or your back will be to the South, location of the Three Killings in 2016. All of you who are in the EAST group, with North and South being two of the directions that are favorable for you, must relocate your bed or desk next year if you currently face North while sitting or your head faces north while laying in bed.
However, it is perfectly all right to sit or sleep facing the Three Killings – you are confronting them head on. This means it is fine to sleep or sit facing SOUTH this year.

Yin Spirit Formation and What You Can Do About It
Yin spirit formation is the build up of yin energy – it could be the result of lack of sound or movement of any kind in a room or house – like an abandoned building for example. Darkness with no light at all is also another cause. Silence causes the energy to become still and unmoving until it literally “dies” and then creates bad feng shui for the surrounding area.
When the energy of chi “dies” and yin spirit formation sets in, it will attract wandering spirits who are happy to take over the space and they will guard it jealously. These wandering spirits are what cause houses to become “haunted” and they only fear Enlightened Beings or Cosmic Protectors.
So, if your space is suffering from yin spirit formation you may be encountering accidents, people falling down and breaking their bones, more sickness and all kinds of unexpected problems and obstacles.
The best antidote is regular cosmic cleansing of your space, which will cause yang chi energy to rise and to become strong. You can do this with the cosmic cleansing of sound (singing bowl), offering incense, or with puja offering prayers (this is the best way because it calls on the Protectors and the Buddha Deities for help). If your office or building is severely afflicted it’s best to call in a Taoist or Buddhist master who knows how to perform the necessary incantations and offerings to generate the sacred energy needed to counter the yin energy buildup. Then you can continue to do the cleansing rituals yourself going forward.
Take a look around your home today to make certain there are no corners or unused rooms where yin spirit formation could begin to accumulate. And here’s some good news…it does take a great deal of abandonment for yin spirit formation to become serious. That being said, you should take steps to guard against it…and even storerooms should be aired out once in a while.
Now if you renovate or repaint your home and add some of your own positive energy it will get rejuvenated quite quickly. Painting, banging, constructing – all these things will attract fresh yang chi energy into a home. That’s why when you’re looking to purchase a home and it’s undergone a good remodeling it always feels very fresh and lucky because spiritually the energy has been renewed. Keeping lights on is another way you can replenish energy quickly.
Please be aware of possible yin spirit formation…especially if things have turned for the worse and take the necessary steps to rejuvenate the yang chi energy of your home as quickly as possible. Practicing regular cosmic cleansing is a highly effective antidote to destroy stagnant energy and yin spirit formation.

Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! Be A Passive Observer
I learned many years ago that the passive observer of life learns more from watching and viewing than from needing to be heard. Refrain from compulsively intruding into other people’s lives out of a need to voice your opinion. We rarely understand all the circumstances in other peoples’ lives…so it’s best not to interfere.
