Lots going on! The MPC course is on in Malaysia and we’ve just launched my new Flying Star Feng Shui online course. I’m so thrilled that students from around the world are able to study with me online when circumstances make it impossible to come to KL.
One thing I was surprised to learn recently was that some people have still not updated their homes or apartments to period 8. I discovered this by chance when I asked some people who wrote to me with concerns about their businesses and money loss. So I will pose the same question to you now…have you updated your home and business to Period 8? We’re now halfway through this 20-year period (ending in Feb 2024) and this means we are now in the part of the cycle where the number 8 brings great good fortune luck to everyone.
And here’s something you may not know; the number 8 is not just a “lucky” number but also very powerful. Sure it can definitely bring you good fortune, but it also has the power to withstand obstacles that may be blocking your success and advancement.
In the “Keeping In Sync” article this week I show you how to update your home or office or apartment to period 8 – it’s really not that difficult and won’t be too expensive. Believe me there is great value in doing this and I don’t want you to miss out on all the special advantages of updating and then activating the energy of this period. I cover all of this and much more in the online Flying Star course, which I highly recommend to everyone. Here’s the link in case you missed it last week.
To your prosperity!
Many who begin to study flying star feng shui are confused and at a loss for what to do because their homes were not built or renovated within the current period of 8 (from Feb 4, 2004 – when the current period of 8 began.) In other words they may be living in older dwellings or apartments that were built before 2004 or have not been renovated since that time.
What constitutes a “renovation” or refurbishment is something that not all feng shui experts agree on but I will tell you what I know works! I believe that you should play it safe and undertake real and serious renovations to change your house into a Period of 8 House.
So if your home was built after February 4, 2004 then for sure it is a period of 8 building and you don’t need to worry. But if not, you need to consider the following renovations: If you are living in an apartment or in a house at least 1/3 of the roof should be changed as well as 1/3 of the floor. And the main door should be changed out for a new main door. So this is not something as simple as a new paint job but the renovation must entail a very major change of energy – a change of the earth, heaven and mankind energy.
So, heaven energy is changed by changing the ceiling (or roof), the earth energy is changed by redoing the flooring and the mankind energy is changed by replacing the door. So if for example you are living in an apartment and of course cannot change the roof then change the ceiling in your apartment – change the ceiling in the living room for example.
If you are living now in a house that is NOT period of 8 but say period of 7 or period of 6 then you should make plans to change it as soon as possible. And that’s when it gets really exciting…because when you do this you will see a change in your luck. You will feel better. The energies will be newer and fresher and in sync with the frequencies of the period of 8 and this is one of the great benefits of the Flying Star Feng Shui formula!
Here’s the thing. We’re already about half way through the period of 8 and the energy is very strong. If you don’t update your abode I’m afraid you will continue to suffer from lack of vitality and lack of energy…and what’s even more important is that you cannot take advantage of some of the very special energy of this Period of 8. Believe me there are some directions that you simply must enhance according to various specials that are available only in the Period of 8!
I go over all of this in much more detail in my new ONLINE course Flying Star Feng Shui. If you are seriously interested in creating true prosperity and happiness in your life then you should enroll in my NEW course.

Invite The Eight Immortals…and the Powerful Energy of 8
The legendary Eight Immortals are reputed to be special celestial beings that have already gained immortality. Each of these Taoist saints symbolizes good luck empowerments, so by placing their images in your home you can invoke the good fortune energies of this period of 8 that we are now living through.
There are so many legends associated with the Eight Immortals…but one of the most famous is the legend about them crossing the sea. During this voyage their particular powers and skills are put to great test…and this journey has come to symbolize our own trials and tribulations as we maneuver through everyday life. Having an image inside your home of the Eight Immortals crossing the waters helps you go through these struggles and emerge victorious!
Their presence in your home is also believed to activate the talismans that each of them carries which are said to be the source of their great power:
- Zhang Guolao’s drum will help bring your family a good name.
- Physical afflictions will be subdued by Lu Dongbin’s sword.
- Han Xingzi’s flute will bring growth and development luck.
- He Xiangu’s water lily will encourage the family luck to bloom!
- Healing energy to the sick comes from Tie Guaili’s gourd
- Zhong Liquan’s fan offers you protection.
- Ao Guojiu’s jade disc will improve the feng shui of the environment.
- Beauty and happiness are brought by Lan Caihe’s flower basket
Each of the Eight Immortals also represents the following: the two genders – male and female, the old and the young, the rich and the poor and the noble and humble. So accordingly, everyone from all levels of society can relate to and benefit from these celestial beings.
With the number 8 being so auspicious for everyone…there is no better time than now to place an image of these eight celestial beings in your home…thereby inviting the powerful energies of the Period of 8.

She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.
She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.
In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! Is Water OK In the South?
The five elements give rise to basic feng shui guidelines and play a big part in flying star feng shui as they offer suggestions and solutions on how different sectors of your home can be enhanced or subdued.
A very basic one that you should all know is that it is important to refrain from having too much water in the SOUTH. However, when the flying stars indicate it is auspicious to place water here you can do so (the water will be energizing special water energy here). However, the water feature should never be so big that it overwhelms and conquers the FIRE of the south completely. Otherwise wealth will be attained but at the expense of your good name. Keep all this in mind when deciding on your water feature for the south sector.
Allow The Higher Self To Emerge
Meditation is an exercise in mental clarity. You can meditate any time -while sitting, eating or walking. When you think about something seriously you are doing contemplative and analytical meditation. The more you meditate, the easier it will become for your higher and wiser self to emerge.
