It works in mysterious ways

LTPhoto11I was thinking last weekend just how lucky I am. I mean, when I think back on my life I can honestly say that I am truly blessed. And the best thing is that things just keep getting better and better!

One of the things I learned early in life is that unless you really study, practice and make an effort at whatever you want to learn or achieve you simply won’t get very far. No one did it for me, and no one is going to do it for you. Your success and good fortune depend very much on the effort you put in. Not many people are born with a silver spoon in their mouth these days!

When I began to study and use feng shui many years ago I did so with a passion. I was interested and fascinated in the many aspects of this ancient study and there was no limit to my research. It took many years and a great deal of time, patience and study to reach the level of understanding that I have today. But what gives me the greatest joy is to be able to pass this knowledge on to you in a more easy and understandable way through my books, courses and extravaganzas. It is very satisfying to receive feedback from thousands of students and readers throughout the world who share stories of how feng shui has enhanced and even saved their lives!

Very soon we will be launching my newest online course “Flying Star Feng Shui”. This is a new, comprehensive course and an important release. I recommend it to anyone who is truly serious about learning and utilizing this ancient skill of feng shui. You see, feng shui works in mysterious ways -in ways that you never realize until you look back and realize how smooth your life has been going along. Time passes and eventually much deeper pathways are revealed that help you blend and align your energy with the cosmic energies that surround us all!

Big Hugs!

LTLadyWalkingDogTaking a Feng Shui Walk For Luck

Taking a walk is not only good exercise…it’s a way to change your luck too!

The next time everything seems to be going wrong for you…or you just feel down – the best thing to do is symbolically shrug your shoulders and go for a walk. Do this with the specific intention of snapping out of your funk.

Look – sometimes we just get hit with bad feng shui…or we have a run of bad luck with the change of a day, month or year. That’s because there is a time dimension to your periods of good and bad luck and why it’s absolutely necessary to update your feng shui annually and monthly and to always be acutely aware of any changes in the chi condition around you.

Many old Taoist masters recommend going for a walk to transform bad luck…or to stop a losing streak or series of negative events…to change your bad luck into neutral/ good luck instead. But it isn’t just any ordinary walk…they recommend that you go on a feng shui walk!

Walking The Dragon

Choose a nice bright and sunny day with few clouds. Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes and take your dog with you if you like. Be sure to start between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. (Hour of the Dragon) as going at this time of day means you are “walking the dragon.”

Choose terrain with slight hills – and go uphill to start and then downhill. This signifies victory over difficult times so a slight gradient is preferred.

You can walk for about two hours…and during that time be sure to turn a corner. Do this at least three times and as you turn the corner say to yourself that you are turning the corner on bad luck. If you turn the corner at least three times, it’s believed that your troubles will end and the worst is over. You’ve turned the corner and your bad luck is behind you.

Crossing the Bridge Ritual

If bad times are really severe…then it’s beneficial to perform the “crossing the bridge ritual”. This is very powerful. Find a bridge whose size and the river it spans are comparable to the size of your problem. Then walk across the bridge with great resolve without looking back. You must not look back.

Sprinkle rice and flowers or light incense as offerings to the local protector guardians at the bridge you are crossing. They are most helpful and will keep you safe and a small offering will do. Once you cross the bridge keep moving and do not look back. It’s best to arrange for someone to pick you up and don’t use the same bridge to return home.

This is a powerful ritual and is very effective for regaining whatever you may have lost…such as power, position, your good name and income.

Good Luck!

City Living & Catching the Chi Of Abundance

I know that many of you live in the city…in high-rise buildings and apartments so I’d like to share some feng shui tips with you today on living in these establishments.

Firstly many people who live in high-rise apartments find that it brings them money luck if the apartment is located on the upper rather than the lower levels. Staying higher up brings in lighter energy from the outside cosmic forces, which is more conducive to generating the auspicious chi of abundance. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons that penthouses are always more expensive and in demand. The human race has a “natural instinct” for living closely with the cosmic environment.

Also at the higher levels the winds are not as polluted by the dust and sounds of the lower levels. In fact, you’re nearer the clouds, which contain water-drenched air energy often saturated with wealth bringing chi! As you look out the window remember that clouds that come from your personal lucky direction can be very auspicious, especially when you have a huge open window to view them from. It’s almost like having a water feature in front of your apartment that nurtures your growth energy – wow – very auspicious. I bet you have never thought of clouds in this way.

Actually, any apartment above the ninth floor enjoys energy similar to what is on the higher floors and from a feng shui perspective it’s good not to be right on the top floor anyway. We think of the high-rise buildings in the city as mountains…and rooftops are like the tops of mountains. If you’re up on the top you could be exposed to winds of hostility, especially if your large window faces a direction that is afflicted that year.

And what if you live in a typhoon or hurricane prone area? You can safeguard yourself and your apartment from destructive winds and weather by inviting the Lord of the Earth into your home. The Chinese call him Ksiddhigarbha and he carries a staff to subdue the troublesome winds and weather. This falls into the practice of Spiritual Feng Shui where the energy of cosmic and worldly gods are engaged by creating their “image” presence inside homes.

LTKsiddhigarbha

Ksiddigarbha will safeguard your home from strong winds and earthly disasters. Be sure to place his image in the living room on top of a table or sideboard. Note that when placing Taoist God images (like Fuk Luk Sau)in your living or dining areas it is important to place them at eye-level rather than on a lower piece like a coffee table!

ltpic10Grand Master Lillian Too is undoubtedly the world’s most prolific and popular writer and advocate on living with good feng shui! She has written over 100 books that have been translated into 31 different languages, and over 10 million copies of her books have been sold worldwide.

After graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Lillian went on to pursue a highly successful business career in banking and finance in the 1980’s in Hong Kong. Her business acumen, drive and abundant energy soon led her from the finance world to the world of luxury department stores and boutiques where, through a leveraged buy out, she became Chairman and shareholder of The Dragon Seed Group.

All the while she was guided and taught by her feng shui masters in Hong Kong and China – and she attributes much of her monumental and quick rise to success in Hong Kong directly to them.

Lillian soon decided to retire from active corporate life and return to Malaysia to raise her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, and spend more time with her family. It was at this time she began to devote her energy to writing and furthering her study of feng shui.

She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.

She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.

In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! There seems to be no stopping her popularity and these days!

Lillian believes everyone should know her secrets and learn how to adapt feng shui to modern life… and she warmly welcomes you into her Mandala.

Water Feature Dilemmas

At WOFS we get many questions about water features and where to place them. Water features located outdoors (at ground level) and indoors are very auspicious. Inside your home, water should flow and move rather than be kept still, so investing in a beautiful aquarium or fountain is an excellent way of doing this. Always remember that any water feature used must be placed in the correct sectors of the home if it is to attract serious wealth luck your way and not cause you any problems.

The best way to identify where to place a water feature in your home is to refer to the Flying Star Chart that applies specifically to your home or apartment and determine where the vitally important Water Star 8 is located. You can also place water features in corners where water star 1 and water star 6 are located as these are auspicious flying star numbers.

I cover all of this and more in my upcoming NEW online course on Flying Star Feng Shui! Details coming soon!

When your life is filled with love and prosperity you are naturally much happier…and the best thing about abundance is that you have the resources to make others happy as well. Whether you do this or not depends on your compassion and your genuine desire to help others. Your desire must be genuine.
