A Feng Shui Holiday Tip For You

Happy Holidays!

LTChristmasTreeIt’s that time of the year with so many bright lights and twinkling colors – I feel so energized and uplifted…it makes me feel so alive and very happy. Speaking of colours…I was thinking today that the colour combination of green and red that we see during this season usually suggests Christmas to most Westerners… but to Chinese feng shui practitioners green and red is the best colour combination for generating fame luck, popularity and recognition.

Yes, green and red is a combination that means success. Green represents the wood element and red of course is fire…so green strengthens red based on the productive cycle of the five elements…wood feeds fire with power and energy. So here’s a tip that you can use long after Christmas has passed; to bring good fortune to your family and especially success that benefits the sons in the family use the combination of green and red in their rooms after they have passed the age of twelve years. Now looking at the colour red…the most auspicious reds to use are cinnabar, ox blood and New Year’s red.

Other great colour combinations for success and wealth luck are silver and purple…because the words silver and purple sound like ngan chee in Cantonese which means money! So this combo- purple and silver has powerful wealth luck connotations. In fact, purple alone is a powerful and very prosperous colour.

Colours are very effective irrespective of which feng shui method you use and can be applied in your home decorating according to the location of the sector or your individual kua number. If you don’t know your personal kua number you can easily find it by going to www.wofs.com and clicking on the “kua calculator” in the upper right corner of the screen.

Please enjoy the holidays and celebrations with family and friends. Remember to be patient and understanding as tensions often run high in the holidays.

Big hugs and many blessings,
Lillian

Lillian Too’s 2 New Books!

Last week I mentioned the two fab NEW books that I have just written and they should be available in the next few days. I think you’re going to love them and find them really useful.

When I write my books, I always do so in a way that makes Feng Shui easy to understand and practice for anyone…even those who are new to this ancient esoteric practice. It’s not necessary to learn all the formulas for your feng shui to be successful!

Overcoming Negative Energy with Sound And Aroma

LTOpenWindowWhile many people simply refer to energy as either “Yin” or “Yang”, Chinese Taoist Masters stress that energy must be assessed according to its strength. This means that Yang energy is either young yang or old yang… and yang that is exhausted or old tends to dissipate and transform into yin formation unless it is revitalized.

For your home to enjoy good fortune, the yang energy within it must be kept strong and vibrant by replenishing it constantly and keeping it moving… and negative energy can be overcome by infusing the afflicted sector or area of your home or office with fresh young yang energy that is full of vitality.

Whenever possible, make it a practice to open your doors and windows to allow a good flow of fresh energy to enter… you will feel the shift instantly. This is especially important in homes where the energy has been locked up… or the residents suffer from constant colds, headaches and illnesses. When serious illness hits your home it is often due to “illness stars” and the best cure, in addition to fresh yang energy, is the cure of metal… especially the sound of metal, which is why singing bowls work so well. Singing bowls, when used correctly create a powerful metallic resonance that is very effective in absorbing and helping illness chi to dissipate.

You can also hang six-rod metal wind chimes, which work especially well when illness is caused by certain number combinations in the flying star system of feng shui. So when your home is plagued by illness use both the singing bowl and wind chimes to clear the space.

LTIncenseGiving your home a regular incense ritual cleansing every week is an excellent way to appease the spiritual energy of the home. You can use a lovely aromatic incense like sandalwood and burn it in an incense burner adorned with auspicious symbols such as the 8 auspicious objects as this further infuses the incense (and your home) with auspicious chi.  Click Here to Order

As you begin to work with incense and energy you will begin to see how aromas actually permeate the consciousness of space helping to lighten it and dissolve negative chi. Some scents are more powerful than others and sandalwood is one that is considered particularly effective. If you are not familiar with sandalwood then I urge you to try it, as you will experience the healing essence very quickly. Another is lavender, which reduces the heaviness in the air and is said to bring out our creativity…it is really wonderful to use while meditating.

LTSingingBowlSo the singing bowl is an excellent way to draw the negative energy of your home into the bowl and transform it into positive chi while the release of natural aromas like sandalwood through the burning of incense will invoke energy fields that affect the quality of chi and have tremendous healing power. Consider using these powerful space-purifying rituals in your home on a regular basis and not just when illness hits.  Click Here to Order

After graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Lillian went on to pursue a highly successful business career in banking and finance in the 1980’s in Hong Kong. Her business acumen, drive and abundant energy soon led her from the finance world to the world of luxury department stores and boutiques where, through a leveraged buy out, she became Chairman and shareholder of The Dragon Seed Group.

All the while she was guided and taught by her feng shui masters in Hong Kong and China – and she attributes much of her monumental and quick rise to success in Hong Kong directly to them.

Lillian soon decided to retire from active corporate life and return to Malaysia to raise her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, and spend more time with her family. It was at this time she began to devote her energy to writing and furthering her study of feng shui.

She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.

She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.

In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! There seems to be no stopping her popularity and these days!

Lillian believes everyone should know her secrets and learn how to adapt feng shui to modern life… and she warmly welcomes you into her Mandala.

LTFullMoonDuring the holiday season it’s easy for tempers to flare…we all face certain pressures at this time of year. Here’s a solution to help dissolve anger effectively.

Water is an excellent antidote to cool down the atmosphere of anger, especially when you use YIN water. If you’ve been quarrelling with your spouse or lover, you can empower the yin water with moon energy by placing an urn of water on your balcony or in your garden on the night of the full moon thereby allowing the water to absorb the energy of the moon. Bring the water back inside and pour into some nice vases and beautiful containers that then become the “peacekeepers” in the house. Phonetically the word “vases” sounds like “peace” in Chinese!

At this time of the year it’s easy to get caught up in all the glitz and glitter of the season…so many parties, dinners and get togethers with friends and family. But it’s also a time to help others and practice kindness with a pure heart and good intention. Remember there is karmic merit in helping others. Each time you are generous and do something good dedicate it immediately to someone or some outcome you are praying for, otherwise all the merit attained simply goes to waste. And karmic merit gets wiped out instantly when you become angry or perform some unvirtuous action like lying or stealing. Dedications are actually prayers!

Love
Lillian
