WOW! I am absolutely over the moon. It makes be so very happy that hundreds of you have understood the importance of cosmic protectors and purchased the video I recently recommended. Oh…and by the way our limited supply of custom-made Daktars has arrived in Malaysia, so those of you who have the video know the importance of this implement in order to “hook abundance” into your life. As the Year of the Horse winds down, I am beginning to think about the upcoming Year of the Wood Sheep and how I will rearrange furniture and objects in my home to maximize my good fortune in the coming year as well as protect myself and my family. Hopefully all of you are familiar with the directional components of your homes and apartments…so you know for example which sector is Southwest or North in your home. If you do not, then you must take your directions using a good compass before making any changes.
I always recommend taking time to thoroughly analyze the layout of your home (and office) especially the rooms that you frequent the most such as the dining or living room. If possible it’s always easier when rearranging things to remove everything from a room and start with a clean slate rather than moving pieces around continually within the room.
The “In Sync” article this week relates to your own personal preferences and how to incorporate them into your feng shui design to achieve maximum results. Paying attention to the annual flying star chart is of course extremely important and you can find all my recommendations in the new 2015 Annual Fortune and Feng Shui Horoscope Books and of course when you attend my yearly Feng Shui Extravaganzas coming up in the USA in Florida December 20/21 and in Singapore and KL early in January.
So it’s not too early to begin thinking about your home and what rearrangements will be needed to maximize your luck and good fortune in 2015 as well protect yourself and your loved ones. And always remember that the chi must be able to flow freely in your home so clutter and overcrowding is not an option, ok?
Until next week,
People often ask me how to incorporate their own personal tastes and likes into the decoration and arrangement of furniture in their homes in order to maximize the benefits of good feng shui.
As with everything, your personal creativity and taste (and individual priorities) must be factored into any room design to achieve maximum results. Otherwise you will never be happy or satisfied in the room! So the first thing I always tell people is to listen to yourself and please don’t use any paint colour, furniture arrangement or piece of art that you yourself don’t really like. Respect your inner voice and your will find your personal chi blending with the way you decorate and arrange your rooms.
Now here’s another important point to remember. Unless you have positive interaction with all the objects you place inside your home, they will not have as much power to actualize good luck for you. Just imagine that you hate the colour pink, yet you know if it is used in a particular sector it attract love into your life. My recommendation is not to use it because your dislike of the colour is related to you own auric field at some subconscious level. So please do respect your intuition and feelings in this regard.
Your tastes will change as you age, along with your preferences for colour, furniture, and decorative objects that appeal to you. You may want a more minimalistic modern look or a cozier feel to your home. So do take time to rearrange your room and furniture and activate your corners as often as you like. However do keep in mind the annual and monthly flying stars – the annual cures must remain in place throughout the year and should not be moved or changed.
Personally I love to change things around and nothing makes me happier than to revitalize my rooms! This creates the beneficial movement of chi but also ensures the energy of my home never gets tired and my life never stagnates. A very good time for a thorough cleaning and rearrangement is just before the start of the New Year. Never forget that feng shui is all about the science of enhancing your personal space so pay attention to your inner voice and make your space your own.
The Real Key to Cosmic Magic
The word “spiritual” refers to the Mind. To tune into the cosmic realm of protectors, spirits and other non-worldly beings you need to work on overcoming your fears. You must try to develop an inner courage and convince yourself that there is nothing to fear from these other beings of the cosmic realm. They can cause your luck turn “yin” and block the flow of good energy into your home but they cannot really harm you unless your own fear allows them to.
This is one of the great secrets that I have learned, that the mind, your own mind is all-powerful. When your mind is fearful you will be afraid of everything, even your own shadow. But when your mind is courageous, it can take you to great heights of living and learning. The mind has incredible potential and is in fact totally infinite in its vast possibilities. Thus using the mind to strengthen your belief systems is the real key to cosmic magic.
All magic, white as well as black, uses the power of the mind. When your mind controls the spirits of the cosmic realms, especially using the different rituals of appeasement and pacification, you can get them on your side especially the local protectors.
White and black magic use exactly the same methods. The white and black magician send out good and bad projectiles; they send out kindly magical wheels that bring abundance and healing powers, or they shoot out evil spinning wheels that hurl illness and accidents at you. Both of them use the assistance of local and other spirits who do not know the difference between good and evil. The only difference between black and white magic thus lies in the motivation. White magic is energized by the priest of good intentions, while black magic is fueled by very negative and evil motivations.
And the good news is that in any battle between black and white, the white always wins. Pure intention and motivation always triumphs over evil intention and the dark side.
When you turn on the light, darkness instantly disappears! Thus you must perfect the art of imagining the brightest of white lights in your mind. If you are afraid of the dark, practice this bright light visualization until you perfect it enough to overcome your fear of darkness.
If you do as suggested and maximize the use of your mind, your inner spirit will be strengthened and you are ready to get to know your local spirits, the ones that inhabit and live in “your space”. You may only “feel” their presence and never see them -but if you do “see” anything do not be afraid. Tell yourself in a calm manner that what you see is not real but only a projection of your mind -and since it made the image appear it can also make it disappear! Blink your eye and it will instantly disappear – you can make it happen!
This article has been repurposed from my book Spiritual Feng Shui, The Vital Third Dimenson.
Grand Master Lillian Too is undoubtedly the world’s most prolific and popular writer and advocate on living with good feng shui! She has written over 100 books that have been translated into 31 different languages, and over 10 million copies of her books have been sold worldwide.
After graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Lillian went on to pursue a highly successful business career in banking and finance in the 1980’s in Hong Kong. Her business acumen, drive and abundant energy soon led her from the finance world to the world of luxury department stores and boutiques where, through a leveraged buy out, she became Chairman and shareholder of The Dragon Seed Group.
All the while she was guided and taught by her feng shui masters in Hong Kong and China – and she attributes much of her monumental and quick rise to success in Hong Kong directly to them.
Lillian soon decided to retire from active corporate life and return to Malaysia to raise her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, and spend more time with her family. It was at this time she began to devote her energy to writing and furthering her study of feng shui.
She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.
She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.
In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! There seems to be no stopping her popularity and these days!
Lillian believes everyone should know her secrets and learn how to adapt feng shui to modern life… and she warmly welcomes you into her Mandala.

Staircases Should Not Have “Holes” In The Steps
Close gaps in stairs with plywood or carpet. The holes in between the steps suggest a “leak” in your wealth. Even if you have rented an apartment with this feature, it is really worthwhile to close up the gaps with plywood or carpet of some kind. When the staircase looks solid, the flow of chi within your house levels is firm and strong. This applies to outside staircases to the dwelling as well. Wooden staircases symbolize growth and are excellent but do make the most of them by plugging the “leaks”.
Always acknowledge those who have helped you. People feel really special when they are genuinely recognized for help given in shaping your success no matter how big or small the role they played. Write a quick thank you note…it won’t take long and you’ll make someone feel very special!
