Just back from London

LTOutsideI’m just back from London where I took a well-earned break. One morning at sunrise Honey and I walked in Kensington Garden Park in London and I wanted to share this beautiful photo with you – the weather was beautiful as were the flowers and oak trees. Truly beautiful walking the park in London!

Hope things are going smoothly for you too. There is so much turmoil in the world these days that I urge you all to pray for those in need, in trouble and in danger. It’s impossible to turn on the news or open a paper without reading about bloodshed and violence. Prayers are so very powerful and will help – I promise you.

I’ve received many emails recently about relationship problems…and I wanted to be sure to remind you about the 3 star – many of you are my students and know what to do but others who are new may not. Certainly it’s not a good idea to beat yourself up and blame yourself for issues that may be entirely out of your hands – so do pay attention to the suggestions given in the article this week.

Finally it’s always important to be in touch with the flow of chi – the energy both inside and outside your living space. You’ll need to set aside a little bit of time for this – don’t rush it or try to do it in a hurry. You’re working with intangible energy that could be caused by any number of things – even energy brought by spiritual entities transcended from other realms (Remember Hungry Ghost Month does not end until the 24th of this month!) You do have the ability to sense the quality of the energy and begin to “feel” things – in fact you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the sensitivity you possess. Be sure to work on this skill as it will serve you well in many areas of feng shui.

Until next week,

What To Do When Relationships Go Wrong

LTUnhappyCoupleIf things start to go wrong for you in your relationship with others at work, socially or with your partner or spouse at home you can suspect that something in the energy of your living space is negatively affecting your relationship luck.

So you must become a feng shui detective!

Is it the Number 3 Star?

The cause is usually afflicted earth energy in the home which may be due to the passage of time…perhaps bad flying stars have hit your bedroom or front door. If you begin quarreling with your spouse or partner for no apparent reason it’s usually due to an afflicted bedroom…and it’s likely that the quarrelsome number three star may have flown in either as the annual or monthly star. In 2014 the number 3 star has flown into the SOUTHEAST and if your bedroom or front door is located here then marriage and relationships will come under strain. It particularly affects those born in the year of the SNAKE since this is your astrological home. One effective remedy is to place something red and gold in the bedroom or affected area.

Is It an Element Problem?

Or you may have inadvertently placed plants in the wrong part of your house. Plants signify wood energy and when they are placed in earth corners (Southwest and Northeast) they can cause problems for you in your social interactions. Be sure to remove them immediately.

Or maybe you’ve recently cleaned your home or apartment and you’ve stored all sorts of junk inside a spare room or corner waiting to give it away or dispose of it. The most vulnerable is when the main doorway and bedroom are affected so if things start to go wrong make sure nothing is blocking the flow of chi in your home.

Now if you’ve checked everything and all seems okay then it would be a good idea to do a flying star natal chart of the house you are living in, as this will immediately reveal many things to you. You’ll find out what you really want to know…which stars stand for wealth and which stand for relationship luck, what are the lucky and unlucky numbers and how they can be enhanced or remedied.

How do you go about determining your own flying star chart and analyzing the feng shui luck map of your home? You first need to know how to select the chart that applies specifically to your house by determining the following two things:

The age of your building and if and when it was last renovated.
The facing direction of your building.

But that’s only the start. You can learn more about all of this in my book Secrets of Your House Charts. If you don’t have this book or have not read it yet I promise you are going to love it! It will be a great source of information and help to you in many ways.

So if you find there is a sudden rise in family tensions or things just aren’t going right between you and your spouse…don’t blame yourself. It will almost always be due to the quarrelsome 3 star having flown into your family room or bedroom, afflicted earth energy or clutter…and now you know what to do to take care of these problems!

All the best,

Tune In To Fine Tune Your Energy!
Feng shui is all about energy…both the tangible energy created by physical structures and objects (that affect it’s flow and accumulation)…and also the more subtle “intangible energy” caused by other influences such as the inner spirit of the home, secrets from past history, left-over energy from previous residents or possibly the inherent earth energy on which the home was built. Sometimes homes are afflicted with the energy brought by spiritual entities transcended from other realms.

Tuning in to the pattern and flow of chi inside and outside your living space is not difficult…but does require a focusing of your attention. Stand at the entrance of your home for a few minutes. Face out and feel the energy that is coming at you…coming toward the main entrance where you are standing. Try to get a feel for whether it is benevolent or agitated…does it feel fast moving and strong or slow?

You will find that if your entrance is being hit by some hostile structure or poison arrow, the energy will not be smooth…but if your house faces a bright hall…an open field or lake then the energy feels much more restful. As you progress with this practice you will start to feel the differentiations of good and bad energy…and you’ll be more creative in how you design good feng shui for your home.

For example let’s consider your main door or entryway. Here the focus is on protection feng shui (protection from all kinds of bad chi) so you may want to place protector images such as a pair of Fu Dogs or Chi Lins or Lions here. When symbols of protection are positioned correctly they emanate powerful energy…and with practice you can develop the concentration necessary to feel their relative strengths!

LTLionWhen I walk into anyone’s home I can usually sense if the home is happy or sad…and homes with strong yang energy usually belong to very successful people of strong character. Similarly, homes that exude a defeated or tired energy usually belong to tired or exhausted people. In fact, the more intense the energy is, the easier it is to become aware of it.

Yes, the energy of a home usually mirrors the energy of its residents. Sometimes the energy of spaces is stronger than the combined energy of its residents and other times the personality of the homeowner dominates…it’s just different with different people. The same applies to your office or work environment. Almost always, your home or office will reflect the attitudes, directions, moods and well-being of the residents.

Everyone has the ability to feel the energy of spaces. Some have a more heightened awareness of energy than others…but everyone has the potential to sense the quality of the energy around them. It may take some time for you to develop this skill but with time you’ll be amazed at the sensitivity you possess.

In feng shui it is only by tuning into the energy that we can improve it, so I urge you to begin today to become more aware and use this skill…it will improve your feng shui significantly!

In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! Heed The Warning Signs
Misplaced keys may be a message

LTkeysCosmic symbols that come your way don’t always bring good tidings. Sometimes they are signs of impending disaster requiring your awareness, sensitivity and action. Maybe you’ve starting misplacing things, being late or your car won’t start. Usually when more than three things seem out of sync it’s a good idea to pause and think about your day and what’s ahead. It may be appropriate to cancel a meeting or trip you are about to take.

Think how powerful a waterfall is…as it drops down striking the river below with such force. Consider the power of that downward momentum! Is your life in such a free fall? It is far better to flow along gently if you can.
