How connected are you with the energy of your home – both inside and out? I was just thinking after I returned from a recent trip, how happy I always am to come home. Stepping out of my car onto the earth of my front garden I tune into the spirit consciousness of my home.
The first thing I do is thank the local spirits for keeping my home safe…and I turn my giant prayer wheel which satisfies their need for spiritual blessings emanating from the 168 billion mantras that are rolled within the prayer wheel (these get activated as I turn the wheel.) As I turn the wheel I visualize a bright light radiating and blessing everything around it.
My Giant Prayer Wheel
I am intimately connected with the life force of my home as I hope you are with your home too. I’m sensitive to keeping it up and in good condition because I know how important it is to maintain a home with love and efficiency.
Everything must work from the plumbing to the electricity to the gates and the doors. And most importantly, the home must always be kept clean, both physically and spiritually. Clutter, negative attitudes and hostility pollute the energies of the home, which in turn affect you and all residents both on a physical and spiritual plane. That’s when illness and obstacles manifest and bad luck can hit you.
Nurturing the spirit essence of your home brings you excellent well-being, happiness and success. It also brings you cosmic protection, especially when objects within your home are sacred, auspicious and protective. It’s even better if they are consecrated with incense and other offerings, and with regular recitation of powerful mantras.
Let your own spirit energy blend harmoniously with the “soul consciousness” of your home. This blending of energies creates, what we refer to in feng shui, as living in harmony with the environment.
Have a great week, be aware of everything around you. Don’t forget to register for my Spiritual Feng Shui event in July…it will be here before you know it. Join me in Singapore on the 13th of July or KL on the 20th of July…I promise you it is going to be “magical”.
Cosmic and Local Spirits – A Source of Magic!
“Spiritual feng shui not only channels abundance from the cosmic universe, it also shows you how to live alongside your local spirits and more importantly, to win their cooperation. The local spirits can be your allies or your adversaries.”
Did you know that your local spirits are indeed a source of magic and they can intercede on your behalf to the Earth spiritsto bring you good health and great success? Whenever anyone in the home falls ill, it is usually due to ill winds brought by passing spirits. Your local spirits are the guardians of your home, so treat them like your cosmic landlords.
Please do note that there are thousands of different kinds of spirit beings, some more powerful than others. There are earth spirits, air spirits, water spirits, tree and plant spirits, as well as spirits of the nether regions below the earth and spirits of the skies high above.
When your local landlords are watching over you, wandering spirits have no chance to cause mischief. Similarly, they also have little chance to cause obstacles to your success. They cannot block your success. And needless to say, should others send you’re their evil “magical diagrams” – popularly known as black magic or bad joss or evil spells – your local spirits will easily divert these back to where they came from.
So, it makes good sense to “nurture” the spirits of your space and your local landlords – it is such an amazingly beneficial thing to do and there are several ways to appease them and achieve their help and cooperation. Connecting with these powerful beings requires making offerings of incense, food, water, pleasant music, fragrant aromas and even fruit and flowers to show your respect and request their blessings.
Appeasing the local spirits of your space need not compromise any of your religious principles. Think of these spirits as beings from parallel realms who will benefit from your compassion and generosity. You do not need to pray to them but what you can do is say prayers for them. They will appreciate this very much indeed!

|The Dream Enhancer – The Tibetans believe that placing some “kushi grass” under you pillow when you sleep enhances your ability to recall prophetic dreams. (Kushi grass is the long dry grass that is often used to make brooms). And the Chinese say that just by placing the statue or image of one of the eight Taoist immortals behind your bed as you sleep will do the same thing. Why not try it? Keep a notebook by your bed because if you don’t record your dreams the instant that you wake up then you are most likely to forget them by the time you are fully awake.|
|No One Likes Change – Most of us are very comfortable with familiarity – things that we know, that we are used to at home and at work. Our routines. But sometimes we must change in order for our life circumstances to change; sometimes change is forced upon us – suddenly, unexpectedly and without warning.Often we view change as “painful” but it really does not have to be. Why not look forward to change and accept whatever it brings no matter what form it takes. Stop fighting it. Change is inevitable and acceptance of it makes it a lot easier to cope with.|
