My Grandmotherly Superstitions For Finding Love In The Fiery Year of the Wood Horse!

In the February issue of Feng Shui World Magazine I’ve written an article on the “Victorious Valentine”… all about the sure-fire age-old feng shui rituals that will bring greater love essence into your life. Here are a few of the rituals, what I like to call“grandmotherly superstitions” that may just do the trick for those of you looking for love and marriage this year.

    1. Good Things Come In Twos…remember the Taoist belief that bad things always come in threes and good things always appear in twos? So when you arrange a date or an outing it is a good idea to “double date” but not a good idea to have three couples out together. It’s great to go out twice in a row if things are good…but if things are not good they get repeated three times so do something to block or change the energy of 3 since this number has hostile connotations.

2.  To Marry A Rich Man…this is another old Chinese Taoist secret. If you want to catch a rich husband you should still be living with your parents when you carry out this ritual. Get some of the soil and some water from your house, and take it to his house and scatter soil and water in front of his house. This works better if it is his family home. Next take some water and dig some soil from his house and bring it back to your house dispersing both in your garden. The deeper inside your garden, the better. When you do this, you are establishing a very good foundation for your two families to become one family. It is a very powerful way also of ensuring that his family will embrace you as a favoured daughter-in-law.

3.  To Find A Good Man…if you are a single woman and you want to meet someone with whom you an develop a serious relationship, then wear a yellow gold ring on your right index finger. This will definitely create the causes and conditions for you to meet a very nice eligible man within three months. Then after meeting the man, to ensure it can lead to an engagement and a proposal of marriage, wear the same ring on your right middle finger. This is an old Chinese secret! And for married women…wear a ring on both your ring fingers and your husband will always love you. Your husband will never leave you for another woman. In this case it’s better if one ring is gold and the other ring is jade!

4.  Place a Picture of You Two Under the Buddha. An old belief passed down from mother to daughter that is said to be very powerful is to place a picture of the two of you smiling and happy under a statue of the sitting Buddha. It can be any Buddha, and it brings blessings for your relationship to grow from strength to strength.

5.  Rejoice If You Spill Some Sugar…in spiritual feng shui beliefs, even the simplest things that occur through each normal day signify forthcoming good or bad energies. Spilling sugar accidentally for instance signifies an upcoming wedding within the family. This is something that manifests auspicious unseen forces working in your favour. They are powerful, these unseen forces, and they have a kind of power that is quite cosmic, so when you spill some sugar and you are single…REJOICE! It means you will be getting married soon and it will be a happy occasion.

3 Easy Steps to Improve Your
Self-Confidence & Self-Esteem Today! We often consider and study feng shui to improve our human physical conditions and earth luck…yet seldom consider the important Third Dimension of Feng Shui…the Spiritual Dimension which includes many meditations and visualization techniques that can help guide us around the roadblocks and obstacles we face in our lives. Our minds are extremely powerful and it is possible to create happiness and abundance by tapping into your own inner strength and power…focusing on the positive images of prosperity as you let go of negativities. But our minds can be equally as destructive…so we must be aware of our inner power and always take good care of our minds. Learn to tune into your thoughts and pay attention to your own “self talk”. It always amazes me how people talk themselves out of things and create their own bad luck without even realizing what they are doing.I often hear things like…“I’ll never get the job – there are just so many people more qualified than I am!” or “Why do these things always happen to me?”. How about…”I’m just not good at writing exams”…and well, it just goes on and on.I find that many people I meet lack self-confidence and it’s no wonder as I listen to the way they talk…to business associates, to friends and family and most importantly to themselves.

3 Easy Steps to Improve Your
Self-Confidence & Self-Esteem Today!

1.  Be Like A Duck! Avoid negative people who constantly focus on the gloom and doom. You’re bound to come across people in life that will cast doubt on your self-worth and test your self-confidence. Sometimes we let this happen without realizing it and then begin to question our own abilities just because of an offhand comment from someone else. Be like a duck! Let all such remarks roll of you like water off a duck’s back. Be aware of negative people and reduce the time you spend with them…even if they are family or friends.

ltbusinessman2.  Tell Yourself You Are The Best – Start by imagining yourself as the very best in whatever you do. If you are looking for a job in a particular field then consider yourself the best possible candidate; if you want top marks on an exam tell yourself you are at the top of the class who everyone relies on for help (and of course study for your exam!); imagine yourself as the CEO of a company that has increased net worth and profitability despite overwhelming odds…and visualize yourself delivering the results to members of the board positively and with enthusiasm! Most of all, BELIEVE IT TO BE TRUE!

3.  Recall Successful & Positive Times In Your Life – If you’re going through a period of doubt or feel weak and defeated and lack confidenceWalkConfidence to continue just remember the last time that you were successful and make a courageous decision to move forward despite the odds. Recall your actions, what people said and how it made your feel. Visualize yourself with your shoulders back and head held high, walking with confidence and a definite purpose.

Begin right now to have faith in yourself. Be like a rock! Having faith in yourself comes with practice. When you believe in something strongly enough it permeates your conscious and subconscious mind in mysterious and powerful ways.

Make sure that you put yourself first – develop faith in yourself and allow your mind to help you through the process!

With love,
Lillian

L-Shaped Desks At Work

L-shaped desks don’t pose a big feng shui problem although they are not ideal. The important thing is to ensure that you always sit facing your sheng-chi direction and if this is not possible at least one of your good four directions based on the KUA formula.

If you don’t know your kua number or your four good and bad directions then go to www.wofs.com and click on the Kua Calculator in the upper right hand corner of the home screen.

If you do have an L-shaped desk then be sure that if you face two directions (because of your computer) that both of the directions favor you. The worst thing possible would be to face your total loss direction day in and day out!

Force Yourself To Do ThisYou must always go against the fear of adversity. Force yourself to do this. Unless you overcome your fear of adversity you will never be able to make the quantum leap towards having and enjoying a state of abundance.

  1. Hi, I have been facing problems in getting married,
Someone suggested me to get rid of the Fuk, Luk, sau from my living room as they being singles will act as a hindrance in it. But I did not do so as was not sure of it.
Pls help me resolve this confusion…
Will await your early response, thank you in advance….

    • Hi Nidnik, No – why would you get rid of these wonderful protectors? One thing to consider – have you made room in your home to welcome a new mate? Have you a lot of clutter around? IS your closet full with no room for clothing of a new mate? When your home or apartment is cluttered or filled to the brim with many things nothing new can enter. This year is an excellent year to meet someone and get married or engaged. The 4 star is the ruling star and in the middle of the chart. Place a beautiful pair of mandarin ducks in the middle of your living room or room you spend a lot of time. Finally, most important – you must BELIEVE 100% that you will meet someone or overcome the obstacles to getting married. In a mental picture in your mind see yourself as ALREADY married to the person you love and focus on this morning and night. You will be surprised at the results. DO NOT think about the negative and never finding someone or getting married – if you continue to worry about it and focus negative that is the energy that you will attract. Be careful what you think about.

      • Thank you so much for your precious reply, I am actually very depressed about the delay in marriage..

I have placed mandarin ducks and already have the Fuk, Luk, Sau in my living room as per you advised me..
Your valuable advice has given me hope to stay positive,
Pls do tell me if I would require to do anything More that could help me in a positive direction….
Thank you so much once again…
